Use of the Decision Table for Supporting Management Process in Mining Companies

Abstract: The article presents a proposal of use a decision table to support the decision-making process in scope of maintenance management in mining companies. In particular, it refers to decisions related to evaluation and improvement of mining machinery use in the mining production process. The article presents the theoretical foundations of decision tables building and characteristics of the most important stages of creating this table. This whole process was tried to refer specifically the mining industry. For this… Show more

“…In making a decision table, it is necessary for an analyst to eliminate some impossible, inconsistent, or repetitive conditions to make the decision table as simple as possible, and also define the maximum size of the table. Some research studies employed decision tables as their method to model complex rule sets in water management [20], reducing complex rule for software development testing [21] and supporting management process in mining companies [22] which those are related to decision making process. Thus, this study aims to develop prototype of DSS to support the decision-making process for midwifery students' tuition fee problems using decision table method which enabled to assist the determination of multicriteria alternative decisions in developing the prototype.…”

“…Yet, it kept vague whether an individual depiction form could represent the information about decision aided modules of auto troubleshooting to can assist technicians reply these issues for the management of ABPs. An exploration is implemented to depict all these kinds of knowledge through decision tables, 16 but it is not evident that these configurations could be effectively originate in database of auto engineering, or be capable of depicting knowledge at various tiers of details. Beyond this exploration, an acceptable representation to reply the troubleshooting issues identified in Liang.…”
