Since deforestation grows in large steps, it is expected that the environmental imbalance will affect human beings. However, today humanity is plagued by a global epidemic of COVID-19. The SARS-CoV-2 virus, of the genus Betacoronavirus, mainly affects the respiratory organs, and its transmission is linked to contact, droplets and aerosols produced by speech and breathing. However, a large number of cases of transmission of the disease are more related to misinformation about the containment measures instituted by the government, and the problem could be solved through the dissemination of far-reaching information materials. Several studies have shown that since 2021, cases of Covid-19 have increased among adolescents and young people. Thus, it is necessary to develop forms of communication that reach this audience. One of these means consists of memes, which became popular as messages with an ironic or comic tone that circulated widely on social networks. In this way, the present study aimed to make posters based on the most popular memes in order to inform and prevent the forms of contagion and infection of COVID-19. The educational material was developed in the microbiology subject of the Licentiate in Biological Sciences course, and consisted of research on social networks and the internet for memes that could be adapted for the desired purpose, with the intention of being used in elementary and secondary schools, considering that even with the reduction in cases of Covid-19, preventive measures are still necessary. With these social communication tools, it is possible to observe a greater reach in the dissemination of the intended information, which can be more easily disseminated both on the internet, through social networks and even in person, since the use of this type of media draws the attention mainly of adolescents and young people. Another important factor is that preventive measures against Covid-19 help control other diseases in the school environment, such as flu and rotavirus.

Objetivo: identificar os principais cuidados de enfermagem na prevenção de infecção relacionada à cateter venoso central. Metodologia:Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura na qual foi utilizada os descritores: infecções relacionadas a cateter, cateteres venosos centrais, cuidados de enfermagem e prevenção de doenças. A coleta de dados foi realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE, SCIELO e BDENF e para a definição dos critérios de inclusão, foi selecionado o recorte temporal de 2017 a 2020, artigos completos, disponibilizados gratuitamente e em língua portuguesa. Foram excluídos os artigos que não correspondiam ao foco da pesquisa e não contribuíam para a discussão e alcance do objetivo investigado. Resultados e Discussão: A amostra final foi composta de 09 artigos que após a análise de seus conteúdos foi identificado que os principais cuidados de enfermagem para a prevenção de infecção relacionada à cateter venoso central constituíram-se de higienização das mãos de forma adequada, realização de curativos em óstio de CVC com curativo oclusivo estéril, inspeção diária do local de inserção do cateter, trocas de equipos e desinfecção de conectores antes de serem acessados. Conclusão: Em vista disso, acredita-se que o estudo fornecerá informações relevantes para a equipe de enfermagem, bem como para toda a equipe multiprofissional que presta assistência aos pacientes com esses tipos de dispositivos invasivos. Convém ressaltar ainda e importância do desenvolvimento de mais estudos envolvendo o tema em questão, considerando o contexto da segurança do paciente que deve ser o objetivo maior de toda a equipe de saúde.

Adherence of the nursing team to patient safety actions in neonatal units

Objectives: to describe the nursing team’s adherence to patient safety actions in neonatal units using a validated instrument. Methods: a cross-sectional study, carried out through direct observation of the nursing team and descriptive analysis of 182 records of the “Checklist for patient safety in nursing care during hospitalization in Neonatal Intensive Care Units” in a hospital in the municipality of Belo Horizonte. Results: there was evidence of adherence greater than 90.0% in the units concerning the use of the identification wristband and guidance of the companions. It was identified 79.0% of absence on the checking of wristband identification and 59.0% of the absence of an evaluation of the crib wheels’ locks. Three of the 21 items included in the checklist did not show non-conformities. Conclusions: partial adherence to patient safety actions was observed, especially regarding the target of patient identification and prevention of falls, which exposes newborns to preventable adverse events.
