Vibration Suppression Control using the Load-side Acceleration Feedback

Abstract: This paper describes the vibration suppression control based on acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor located on the machine end. The proposed method has a simple configuration that is added an integral and one tuning parameter to the conventional semi-closed method, and suppresses the vibration on machinery by adding the damping of antiresonance zero point of the open-loop. In this way, the high gain can be realized so the influence of the disturbance is also suppressed. The proposed method is possi… Show more

“…The acceleration feedback control including MSAFB is known as a representative vibration suppression strategy in a variety of fields (10)- (13) . However, few applications are currently used in factory automation (14)- (16) . This paper presents an MSAFB controller designed specifically for a rocking mode vibration system.…”

“…In other studies (10)- (12) , the acceleration signal of the machine stand was treated. We previously proposed controllers of load-side acceleration feedback (LSAFB) (13) and machine stand acceleration feedback (MSAFB) (14) . The relative acceleration is used for vibration suppression (15) , and positive stage jerk feedback is combined with positive base plate jerk feedback for high-speed positioning of a pneumatic stage (16) .…”

“…In this research, we aim to suppress the residual vibration of the mast part by the feedback control of the acceleration of the flexible structure. The feedback control for measuring the acceleration of the machine end of the two-inertia system has yielded an effective vibration suppression effect [16][17][18][19].…”
