“…1,8-Cineole (22.5%) and hexadecanoic acid (8%) were found to be the main components of oil B. Fifty-eight compounds were identified representing 74.9% of flower (C) oil. Germacrene D (22.7%) and spathulenol (9.7%) were found to be the main components of oil C. A previous report on Iranian T. tabrisianum indicated an essential oil with caryophyllene oxide, spathulenol, cis-carveol, trans-isolongifolanone and camphor as the main components (Habibi et al, 2007), unlike the main components we encountered in the Turkish sample. The main components of the Iranian sample, caryophyllene oxide and spathulenol, occurred in small quantities in our sample, except for 1,8-cineole.…”

“…Lavandulol derivatives comprised 7.3% of our essential oil, and structures with this backbone represent a major portion of T. fruticulosum [7] and T. paradoxum [10] oils. Camphor, which was a major constituent in the essential oil of many Tanacetum species like T. parthenium [6], T. fruticulosum [7], T. khorassanicum [8], T. lingulatum [9], T. paradoxum [10], T. polycephalum [11][12][13][14] and T. Balsamita L. [15], was not detected in our oil. Camphene, which is also the main constituent of T. parthenium [6] and T. polycephalum [12,13] essential oils, is present in small amounts in our essential oil (0.6%).…”
