Web-Based Simulation on Physics Learning to Enhance Digital Literacy Skill of High School Students

Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Web-Based Simulation (WBS) on Physics learning to enhance digital literacy skills of Grade XI students in high school. The level of digital literacy skills of the students in the experiment and control group before and after they study using WBS learning and none was determined respectively. The comparison of their levels before and after the study was done to determine the effectiveness of the WBS learning. The participants of this study were 49 students of … Show more

“…It is needed to foster positive attitudes and digital literacy skills (Prior, Mazanov, Meacheam, Heaslip, & Hanson, 2016). In this study, the results are similar to the findings (Perdana, Riwayani, Jumadi, & Rosana, 2019) that online simulation learning can improve students' digital literacy skills by 28.3% than conventional learning 0.2%. Other study show that web-based online learning has a positive effect on digital literacy skills of students with an average of 83.75% (Elmunsvah, Nur Hidayat, & Patmantara, 2018).…”

“…In addition, the use of simulation as a medium in the learning process has also been shown to increase students' motivation and confidence [21]. Not only that, students' digital literacy skills are also increasing when using simulation media in the learning process [22]. In addition, science process skills also increase when the learning process uses interactive simulations [23,24].…”
