Abstract-In this paper, we conduct research on the information and communication technology personnel training mode based on CDIO pedagogics. Personnel training mode is to point to in certain education under guidance of the thought and the concept to the talent training including dynamic ontology. Expounds the basic concept of engineering education mode CDIO was proposed based on CDIO education model of integrated project reform exploration and practice, and the requirement of experimental project involved in this paper. Teachers and students are in the experimental teaching in great changes of the role, requests the student to independently design and complete the experiment content implementing the students passively accept education to the students' independent innovation and design and implementation of change. In the future, more research will be conducted to optimize the current CDIO education pattern for optimal teaching approach.

Abstract. Geoscience communication is becoming increasingly important as climate change increases the occurrence of natural hazards around the world. Few geoscientists are trained in effective science communication, and awareness of the formal science communication literature is also low. This can be challenging when interacting with journalists on a powerful medium like TV. To provide geoscience communicators with background knowledge on effective science communication on television, we reviewed relevant theory in the context of geosciences and discuss six major themes: scientist motivation, target audience, narratives and storytelling, jargon and information transfer, relationship between scientists and journalists, and stereotypes of scientists on TV. We illustrate each theme with a case study of geosciences on TV and discuss relevant science communication literature. We then highlight how this literature applies to the geosciences and identify knowledge gaps related to science communication in the geosciences. As TV offers a unique opportunity to reach many viewers, we hope this review can not only positively contribute to effective geoscience communication but also to the wider geoscience debate in society.

A Word to the Wise: Advice for Scientists Engaged in Collaborative Adaptive Management

Collaborative adaptive management (CAM) is a process for making decisions about the environment in the face of uncertainty and conflict. Scientists have a central role to play in these decisions. However, while scientists are well-trained to reduce uncertainty by discovering new knowledge, most lack experience with the means to mitigate conflict in contested situations. To address this gap, we drew from our efforts coordinating a large CAM effort, the Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management Project, to offer advice to our fellow environmental scientists. Key challenges posed by CAM include the confusion caused by multiple institutional cultures, the need to provide information at management-relevant scales, frequent turn-over in participants, fluctuations in enthusiasm among key constituencies, and diverse definitions of success among partners. Effective strategies included a dedication to consistency, a commitment to transparency, the willingness to communicate frequently via multiple forums, and the capacity for flexibility.CAM represents a promising, new model for scientific engagement with the public. Learning the lessons of effective collaboration in environmental management is an essential task to achieve the shared goal of a sustainable future.
