Yb2+-Alloyed Cs4PbI6–CsPbI3 Perovskite Nanocomposites for Efficient and Stable Pure-Red Emission

Abstract: A series of Yb 2+ -alloyed CsPb 1−x Yb x I 3 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6) perovskite nanocrystals (NCs): are synthesized by a modified hot-injection method. Yb 2+ alloying induced a blue shift of photoluminescence (PL) spectra. In particular, when x = 0.6, the perovskite NCs exhibit pure-red emission with PL centered at 638 nm. Furthermore, the perovskite NCs with pure-red emission exhibit enhanced air and thermal stability, compared to pure CsPbI 3 NCs. The enhanced stability can be assigned to the formation Cs 4 P… Show more

“…Similar behaviour was also identified for the PL quantum yield (PLQY), with the highest PLQY of 81.3% for (CsPbI3)0.05(agZIF-62)0.95 at 275 ℃ sintering (Figure S7). This value is greater than the majority of previously reported CsPbI3 [26][27][28][29][30] . With increased CsPbI3 loading, the PL peak red-shifted first and then blue-shifted (Figure S8), which was paralleled by similar changes in the γ-phase absorption edge shown in the UV-Vis absorption spectra (Figure S9).…”

“…In recent years, the interesting photoelectric properties of the three-dimensional (3D) APbX 3 lead halide perovskite (LHP) materials (X = Cl, Br, I) have aroused great research interest. Excellent carrier mobility and low defect characteristics make it considered as a new type of renewable energy. It has important application value in high efficiency solar cells, LEDs, lasers, and photodetectors. …”

“…The alloying of the control material will enrich the various properties of the material and produce very interesting phenomena. At present, the B-site metal elements are generally alloyed and the A-site is rarely alloyed. , Chiral systems play a very important role in nature and have important applications in circularly polarized light emission and information storage and encryption . However, chiral and achiral cations have not been introduced into the complete perovskite framework.…”

“…[25] For research on red-emitting CsPbI 3 and Cs 4 PbI 6 , no issues on energy transfer has ever been mentioned. [26,27] For red-emitting PQDs conversion layers in micro-LED display, the FRET shows a great potential in enhancing the PL sensitivity in spectra region of blue-chip, which otherwise cannot effectively excite the red PQDs.…”
