Zeolite and Organic Fertilizer Application to The Improvement of Available P and Soybean (Glycine max L) Seed Yield in Alfisols

Abstract: The problem of low soybean yield on Alfisol is low soil fertility. The availability of P is often a constraint because the P element on the Alfisol soil is strongly bound by Al and Fe elements. Efforts to increase the availability of P element in Alfisols can be done by ameliorant of zeolite and organic fertilizer. This study objective was determined of zeolite and organic fertilizer in increasing of available P and soybean yield on Alfisols. A field experiment was conducted using Randomized Block Design consi… Show more

This is in line with Alvernia et al (2017), who observed an increase in SOC by 26% after the application of cow dung of 5 tons ha −1 on Alfisols. The addition of biochar to sandy soil will increase the concentration of humic and fluvic acids, followed by an increase in SOC (Amoakwah et al, 2020;Głąb et al, 2020), and increased available P averages of 7.9% in paddy soil (Jing et al, 2020).…”

“…Rock phosphate, zeolite and quail manure had a pH of 7.9-8.3 (moderately alkaline) and expected to improve the soil conditions of the experiment field which has low pH. Quail manure has a N content of 1.32%, P 4.54%, K 1.51%, and C-org 17.56% with C / N 13.31 [14]. RP is slow realese phosphate source, and manure contains organic acids that can increase the solubility of RP [15].…”
