Catalposide methyl ether (9) on treatment with anisoyl chloride in pyridine, the same hexaanisate (10) which was obtained from deshydroxybenzoylcatalposide (3) by a similar reaction. This is equivalent to the re-formation of catalposide from 3 and p-hydroxybenzoyl chloride and shows the ester to be quite normal.…”
