Аннотация: Эмпирическое исследование посвящено проблеме связи психосоциальной незрелости и кризиса самоопределения как источника готовности к экстремистскому поведению. В условиях неопределенности усиление кризиса самоопределения связано с протестной активностью личности «эскапизм». Выборка включала учащихся 6-9-х классов гимназии № 25 города Краснодара (N = 67) в возрасте от 13 до 16 лет. Испытуемым предлагалась батарея методик, содержащая опросники «Протестная активность личности» А.Ш. Гусейнова, «Психосоциальная зрелость» Б.К. Пашнева, «Тест экзистенциальных мотиваций» В.Б. Шумского и др. Связь психосоциальной незрелости и кризиса самоопределения оказалась сильной (r = 0,51). Установлена статистически значимая медиаторная роль эскапизма в структурной модели кризиса самоопределения (Aroian-Sobel test = 2,10, p ≤ 0,05; boot a × b = 0,25, LLCI = 0,10-ULCI = 0,46). Несформированный образ «я», основанный на осознании невозможности бытия в мире, отсутствие самоценности и смысложизненных ориентиров приводят к деструктивной протестной активности личности. Эскапизм как деструктивная форма протеста является предпосылкой готовности к экстремистскому и самоповреждающему поведению.

Civic identity is an important feature of a socialised person. It regulates numerous personal behavioural manifestations, e.g. commitment to the country, patriotism, willingness to participate in important processes related to democratic procedures, desire to realise values that are of paramount importance for adaptation and integration with other representatives of civil society. The aim of this research is to determine the role of civic identity in the preferences of civil and political forms of social activity among young people in provincial Russia. The study involved 305 people (35.4% men) aged 17 to 35 (M = 21.1; SD = 3.1). The study used a questionnaire aimed at determining the socio-demographic characteristics of the sample group, containing scales for assessing the degree of personal involvement in certain forms of social activity (R.M. Shamionov et al.), Civic Identity Scale (A.N. Tatarko), Self-Assessment of the Propensity for Extreme Risky Behavior Technique (the Russian version of M. Zuckermans Sensation Seeking Scale). The study revealed that the indicators of commitment to protest, radical-protest and subcultural activity are more homogeneous and less pronounced in comparison with the indicators of civic, political and socio-economic activity. As a result of the factor analysis, it was found that civic-political (civic, socio-economic and political) and subcultural-protest (subcultural, protest and radical-protest) forms of activity constitute two stable factors. As a result of structural modelling, it was shown that civic identity has a positive impact on social activity in the civil-political field and a negative impact on subcultural-protest activity. Seeking new experiences plays a positive role in subcultural-protest activity of young people, while the feeling of uncertainty undermines the manifestations of civic-political activity. The study also revealed an important role of socialisation conditions: the participation of parents in the public life of the country contributes to civic-political activity and the formation of civic identity of their children. Civic identity reduces the manifestation of the feeling of uncertainty and the search for new experiences among young people.

Objective. To identify the role of values in commitment to various types of social activity.Background. The social activity of young people is the driver of the development of society. It contains very different initiatives – ranging from civil, political and economic to subcultural and radical protest. The most important task is to study the value factors of a person’s commitment to various forms of activity. Such scientific knowledge will allow us to establish the features of the value regulation of activity.Study design. The relationship between values and commitment to various forms of social activity. The presence and peculiarities of the relationship were recorded through correlation and regression analyses.Participants. 500 residents of Russia (average age M=21,6; 35,5% men, 64,5% women).Measurements. A questionnaire was applied, including 18 scale questions, meaningfully describing the forms of social activity (Shamionov R.M., & et al. ), followed by factorization of the data obtained, on the basis of which “new” variables of civil, protest, Internet-network and leisure activity were derived; “Portrait value questionnaire” Sh. Schwartz (PVQ-R2) with fixation of 19 basic values.Results. Various forms of social activity of young people form 4 enlarged groups (types) based on factor analysis: civil, protest, leisure and Internet network. The commitment of young people to leisure and Internet network activity is most pronounced. The interrelationships of types of activity and values cover all sectors of the circular motivational continuum of values. Schwartz. Values explain from 22% to 8% of the variance of different types of social activity.Conclusions. The most important prognostic values are the values of traditions and care for nature with low expression of the value of public safety (civic activity); universalism-care, power with low expression of the values of public safety and benevolence-care (protest activity); the value of stimulation, tradition and benevolence-care (leisure); values of independence-actions, power-resources with low expression of traditions (Internet-network).
