The need to introduce new approaches to increase the level of combat capability of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. This requires a reasonable approach to issues of improving the activities of commanders (commanders, chiefs) and their deputies in order to increase the combat capability of subordinate military units (subunits), which is not possible without the use of appropriate scientific and methodological apparatus. On the basis of scientific and methodical approaches to the evaluation of individual components (indicators) of the combat capability of military organizational structures and the experience of conducting inspections of the combat readiness of military units, the article outlines a methodical approach to assessing the level of combat capability of a military unit. Indicators that have a direct impact on the level of combat capability of a military unit include: "PERSONNEL", which characterizes its level of staffing and their moral and psychological state; "PREPAREDNESS", which characterizes the level of individual training (training of servicemen) and the level of collective training (coherence in the composition of structural units); "WEAPONS", which characterizes the level of provision of the military unit with serviceable regular samples of weapons and military equipment; "SUPPLY", which characterizes the level of provision of the military unit with usable material and technical means. This methodical approach makes it possible to carry out a quantitative assessment of the level of combat capability of a military unit to perform assigned tasks, as well as to identify problematic issues based on its indicators. The results of the conducted research can be practically used during the evaluation of the combat capability of military units, during the development of guiding documents regulating the specified issue, as well as in the course of further research in this direction in scientific institutions.

The full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the need of the security and defense forces of Ukraine for well-trained officers confirmed the need to introduce new approaches to the formation of the structure and content of the military training of Ukrainian citizens studying under the reserve officer training program. This requires a reasonable approach to the issues of improving their training, which is not possible without the use of the appropriate scientific and methodological apparatus for assessing the level of their competence in fire training. On the basis of the existing scientific and methodological apparatus for evaluating the effectiveness of training and the experience of conducting fire training at departments of military training in higher military educational institutions (military educational units of higher education institutions), the article describes a partial methodology for assessing the level of competence in fire training among citizens of Ukraine who are studying under the training program for reserve officers, which is built on the basis of the calculation of a multi-criteria dimensionless assessment, which allows not only to evaluate their results in fire training, but also to take into account their physical and psychological readiness, which significantly affects their skillful and effective use of standard weapons. Indicators that have a direct impact on the level of fire training competencies of Ukrainian citizens studying under the reserve officer training program include: level of training in fire training, level of physical fitness, level of psychological fitness. The assessment of the level of training in fire training is calculated according to a dependency that takes into account the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of citizens of Ukraine who are studying under the training program for reserve officers from the module "Military weapons and fire training". The assessment of the level of physical fitness of citizens of Ukraine studying under the reserve officer training program is determined by the results of their practical performance of physical exercises in accordance with the standards established by the manual on physical training in the system of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The assessment of the level of psychological preparedness of citizens of Ukraine, who are studying under the reserve officer training program, is calculated according to the dependence that takes into account their psychological stability and readiness. The indicated partial methodology allows for a quantitative assessment of the level of fire training competencies of Ukrainian citizens studying under the reserve officer training program, as well as to identify problematic issues during its organization and implementation, which necessitates the development of recommendations for improving fire training. The results of the conducted research can be used during the assessment of the level of fire training competences of citizens of Ukraine who are studying under the reserve officer training program, as well as in the course of further research in this direction in scientific institutions.
Trends in the development of modern military conflicts, in particular the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our country, improvement of forms and methods of employment of troops (forces), development of firearms, increase in the scope of tasks involving military command and control, implementation of principles, procedures and standards adopted by the armed forces of NATO member states, require a set of measures aimed at improving operational training. One of the components of operational training is the individual training of servicemen of the military command and control, which is conducted with the aim of developing their individual capabilities to perform tasks effectively independently and as part of the military command and control. Directly planning the use, commanding groups of troops (forces) in operations (combat actions), organising interaction and comprehensive support is carried out by the officers of the military command and control. The quality of performance of their tasks depends on the level of their training, which is the result of their individual training. Thus, there is a need to improve the individual training of officers. Based on the scientific and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of individual training of servicemen and the experience of its conduct in the military education institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during 2022-2024, the article presents the authors' views on the organisation and conduct of individual training of officers in military administration. The implementation of the proposed views involves: development of standards of functional responsibilities for a typical position, introduction of individual tasks, creation of web resources, introduction of modern forms and methods of training. The results of the study can be used in the development of guidelines regulating the organisation and conduct of individual training of officers in the military command and control, as well as in the course of further research in this area in academic institutions.
