Live weight is an important indicator of livestock productivity and serves as an informative measure for the health, feeding, breeding, and selection of livestock. In this paper, the live weight of pig was estimated using six morphometric measurements, weight at birth, weight at weaning, and age at weaning. This study utilised a dataset including 340 pigs of the Duroc, Landrace, and Yorkshire breeds. In the present paper, we propose a comparative analysis of various machine learning methods using outlier detection, normalisation, hyperparameter optimisation, and stack generalisation to increase the accuracy of the predictions of the live weight of pigs. The performance of live weight prediction was assessed based on the evaluation criteria: the coefficient of determination, the root-mean-squared error, the mean absolute error, and the mean absolute percentage error. The performance measures in our experiments were also validated through 10-fold cross-validation to provide a robust model for predicting the pig live weight. The StackingRegressor model was found to provide the best results with an MAE of 4.331 and a MAPE of 4.296 on the test dataset.
Pig breeding in Russia is one of the most important branches of animal husbandry. The share of pig breeding currently accounts for about 20 % of the total gross livestock production of the country. The profitability of this type of animal husbandry is determined by several factors, the main of which is the expenditures of feed, which is an important indicator of any agricultural enterprise engaged in the production of pork. The purpose of the work was to study the use of sorbents in the diets of pregnant sows. Scientific and economic experiment has been carried out on 3 groups of pregnant sows of Large White breed for 19 heads into each on the base of CJSC “Uralbroiler” pig complex “Rodnikovsky” in the Krasnoarmeysky district in the Chelyabinsk region. The digestibility of crude protein in the 2nd experimental group was 75,46 % the differences between the 1st control and 2nd experimental groups for this indicator were at the level of 1,41 %. The digestibility of crude fiber in sows of the 2nd experimental group exceeded of analogues of the 1st control group by 4,97 %, crude fat by 5,24 %, amounting to 41,09 (Р ≤ 0,001) and 60,47 % (Р ≤ 0,05). The feed additive glauconite in the diets of sows of the 3rd experimental group also had a positive influence on the digestibility of the main nutrients of the diet. If in the 1st control group the digestibility of dry matter was 69,23 %, in the 3rd experimental group it has increased to 72,92 % (Р ≤ 0,01) or 3,69 %, and the difference in the digestibility of organic matter was 2,08 % reaching the value of 75,51 %. The best results in the digestibility of nutrients in the diet of sows have been observed in the 2nd experimental group when using the feed additive Nabikat.
One of the radical ways to prevent and reduce mycotoxicosis on the animal body is the use of adsorbing feed additives in the diet. Inclusion of complex mineral and vegetable complex additive Nabikat at 0,20% dose and mineral - dry content of Glaukonit substance of 0.25% in enceinte and nursing sows’ full-fledged combined fodder composition showed that they increase the digestibility of crude fiber in the uterus during deep pregnancy by 4.97 and 4.07%, as well as the digestibility of crude fat by 5.24 and 1.71% and deposit nitrogen in it. They amount to 2.54 g and 1.24 g respectively. Compared to Glaukonit, Nabikat has a more positive effect on the anabolic properties of metabolic body processes. As a result, sows’ diversity in this group was 17.3% higher than in the control group, reaching 0.4% in the lazurite group. The difference in piglets’ preservation amounted to 10.9% and 2.2%, as well as in the weight of the litter when weaning. The age amounted to 26.5 and 0.9, respectively.%. Nabikat addition to sows’ diet reduced feed costs per piglet by 19.1 -30.4%, using Glaukonit - by 4.7 -5.8%.
It is the fact with the introduction of the detailed system of normalized feeding in the livestock industry, the productivity of farm animals has increased by 11,2 %. The obvious solution to the problem of feeding pigs with complete feed is seen in the use of feed and feed additives of local production, which will reduce the final prime cost of the product. The purpose of the work was to justify the use of feed additives Nabikat and Glauconite in feeding sows. During the experiment 3 groups of sows have been formed (a control group and two experimental ones). Sows of the control group have been received the main farm diet, sows of the 1st experimental group in addition to the main diet have been received the feed additive Nabikat (0,20 % of the dry matter of the diet), and the 2nd experimental group Glauconite (0,25 % of the dry matter of the diet). It has been found on the base of researches that the input of the feed additive Nabikat in the diet of pregnant sows has increased the prolificacy of sows by 16,3 %, the livability of piglets by 10,9 %, while the expenditures of feed has been reduced by 20,4 %. The lowest feed and digestible protein expenditures per live weight gain of a pregnant sow and a weaning piglet have been observed in the 1st experimental group when the feed additive Nabikat was included in the diet of sows. The highest feed payment for 1 weaned piglet has been observed when feeding the feed additive Nabikat to sows, which allows producing 24,3 heads of piglets in natural terms, in monetary terms of 1,92 heads. At the same time, it is possible to get an additional profit of 6,9 thousand rubles.
