Kajian ini merupakan analisis kritis terhadap konsep pendidikan seni musik yang berorientasi humanistik. Permasalahan mendasar yakni kondisi pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya maksimal, mengingat tidak terpenuhinya hakikat pembelajaran yang sesungguhnya. Selain masalah tersebut, pendidikan seni musik belum mampu memberikan kebebasan dan kematangan personal sebagai subjektivitas. Penyebabnya, kurangnya usaha menumbuhkan rasa kesadaran diri dan tanggung jawab kepada individu siswa. Tujuan kajian ini untuk memberikan kesadaran terhadap pendidik agar mampu mengarahkan siswa menggali pengalaman eksplorasi dalam bermusik dan mendekatkan pada lingkungan sekitar. Kajian ini menggunakan metode analisis literasi berorientasi humanistik dari berbagai perspektif para pakar yang kompeten. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pertimbangan terhadap pendidikan seni musik untuk berbenah dengan mengutamakan pengalaman siswa melalui unsur-unsur seni musik meliputi cara berekspresi, apresiasi, kreasi, dan membentuk harmonisasi dengan lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, pendidik seni musik dituntut mampu untuk memberikan dorongan, motivasi, serta dukungan untuk pencarian jati diri siswa dalam menemukan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap positif dengan menyesuaikan karakter individu dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. The Perspective of Humanistic Oriented Music Education ABSTRACT This study is a critical analysis of the concept of music education with a humanistic orientation. The fundamental problem is that the learning conditions have not been fully maximized, considering that the true essence of learning is not fulfilled. Apart from these problems, music education has not provided freedom and personal maturity as subjectivity. The reason is a lack of effort to foster a sense of self-awareness and responsibility to individual students. This study aims to provide awareness to educators to be able to direct students to explore exploration experiences in music and get closer to the surrounding environment. This study uses a humanistic-oriented literacy analysis method from various perspectives of competent experts. This study's results provide consideration for music education to improve by prioritizing student experience through musical art elements, including ways of expression, appreciation, creation, and forming harmony with the environment. In conclusion, music educators must provide encouragement, motivation, and support for the search for student identity in finding knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes by adjusting individual character to the surrounding environment.
This study aims to develop an Android application-based e-Module on the Makassar Flute learning material for Year 8 junior high school students. The development of e-Module learning media based on android application is an alternative in the use of technology. Essentially, the commonly used sources and learning media are in the form of physical books, but with advances in technology, learning media can be presented in digital form. The development model refers to the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model developed by Dick and Carry. However, in this study, it is limited to only three stages, namely ADD (Analysis, Design, Development). The development process at this stage starts from the Analysis stage by conducting needs analysis, student character analysis, analysis of hardware and software, and analysis of basic competencies. The second stage is the Design stage, which is the preparation of the flowchart and the preparation of the e-Module material and content. Then the next stage is the Development stage, in which the learning media production is carried out using the Corel Draw X4 application, which is subsequently converted to an Android-based application by utilizing the Appsgeyser application. The development of this Android-based e-Module learning media can serve as an option for the use of culture and art learning media, especially in the material of traditional musical instruments.
Paparan kajian dalam tulisan ini akan mengungkapkan ciri-ciri kebudayaan material serta peranannya dalam masyarakat selanjutnya mengungkapkan cara penelitian dengan metode semiotika Roland Barthes berpaduan dengan analisis wacana. Metode kajian terlebih dahulu menjabarkan tentang kebudayaan material. Selanjutnya akan memaparkan bagaimana kebudayaan material tersebut diurai melalui analisa semiotik sehingga menjadi salah satu model pendekatan penelitian seni terhadap kebudayaan material. Hasil kajian sebagai berikut: Objek kebudayaan material seni adalah komponen material yang dapat dipersepsikan melalui sentuhan atau penglihatan hasil budi daya manusia untuk mencapai keindahan dan memenuhi kebutuhan hidup. Kebudayaan material dapat berupa: Artefak benda simbolik dalam aktifitas social, barang-barang (goods) kebutuhan, komoditi dan aktan. Objek kebudayaan material memiliki empat peranan penting dalam kehidupan manusia yaitu sebagai (1) penanda nilai, (2) penanda identitas, (3) serta wujud jaringan kekuasaan (4) sebagai wadah mitos. Penelitian objek kebudayaan material seni menggunakan semiotika Roland Barthes melakukan tahapan-tahapan utama yaitu yang pertama melihat struktur seluruh tanda-tanda yang tampak dalam kajian benda material tersebut secara denotasi. Langkah kedua adalah mengkaji pesan-pesan budaya material tersebut malalui pesan-pesan teks, dokumen, karya sastra, literatur sesuai peristiwa dan konteksnya. Langkah ketiga adalah pencarian makna sistem sekunder dengan menelusuri form dan concept-nya dan didapatkan sign baru, signification. Akhirnya menemukan makna sistem sekunder yang dapat berupa metabahasa, di mana perubahan yang terjadi adalah pada bagian ekspression dan makna sistem sekunder perubahan yang terjadi pada bagian isi atau content-nya.
Gondang music, as a heritage, is preserved and passed down from generation to generation. It has a unique ethical value that it becomes the local wisdom of the Batak Toba people. The purpose of this study is to identify the social values of Batak Toba traditional marriages, and the rules of the Gondang music played at traditional wedding ceremonies. This article analyzes the symbols in the Batak traditional wedding ceremony. Symbols such as language, myths, music, and dances that contain social values namely rules, norms and ethics of traditional wedding ceremonies. The results show that 1) Customary marriage upholds the value of respect to several parties involved in traditional ceremonies, 2) Customary marriage emphasizes prayer and hope for the future of the bride and her extended family, 3) The role of Gondang music is as a bridge of prayer and praise to God, 4) Gondang music is a tool used by the family to express joy and happiness over the traditional marriage by means of tor-tor, 5) Tor-tor dance that is accompanied by Gondang music is a way of making a bond between two new families bound by clans.
