The article deals with aspects of solving applied problems related to the capabilities of the automated COMPASS 3D system for geometric modeling of shipbuilding objects-vessel hull surfaces. The method for the ship's hull modeling based on flat curves, sections constructed on different offset planes is considered. A method is shown for improving the accuracy of the simulated frame surface of the ship's hull by introducing intermediate sections into the model frame. The concept of the modeling quality of the frame surface and the method of determining quantitative indicators for evaluating the frame surface quality are proposed. The practical implementation of the method of three-dimensional modeling of ship hulls is performed, and the comparative research results on the quality of the ship's surface modeling are presented.
The article discusses the stages of the formation of professional competencies in the process of training future engineers of the Navy. An analysis of the concept of competence in the interpretation of modern scientists is carried out. The features of the formation of professional competence are analyzed, considering the specifics of a general technical academic discipline, and the integral role of skills and abilities as objects traditional for pedagogy is shown. It is shown that the competencies that a university graduate must master can be divided into two classes: professional (subject-specialized) and general cultural (universal), not directly related to the solution of professional problems, but related to the success of the professional activity. As a result of the analysis of the task of designing the content of subject competencies, the fundamental functional structure of the process of forming the professional competence of a general technical academic discipline is presented. The problem of the relationship between sensory (empirical) and rational (theoretical) knowledge is revealed in the aspect of applying theoretical knowledge in the practical activities of a transport specialist.
The paper considers the need to develop some applied pedagogical issues of the general theory of modeling, as well as psychological and pedagogical problems solved by modeling in the learning process, in particular, in the formation of concepts, the interpretation of sign mathematical models and the solution of educational graphic problems, where modeling does not act as an additional method to the current verbal and logical method. The paper gives the examples of visualization in planimetry, the dynamics of proving the Pythagorean theorem by the method of equi partibility, the method of deformation of parts while preserving their areas and the method of cutting theory, as well as an example of an applied problem for three-dimensional modeling of the theoretical surface of a ship hull in a computer-aided design system KOMPAS-3D.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
