Reading is a very important activity to get abundant information and add new knowledge. As students, reading activities have a very dominant role because they are required to be more scientific and rational in giving opinions or providing information both in oral and written. Besides, students' attitudes towards reading also have an important role. This study focused on their English reading comprehension and attitudes towards reading in English. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between students' attitudes with the result of reading comprehension. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires and reading comprehension tests for students of STKIP PGRI Jombang in the English Education Study Program. The Pearson Coefficient Product Moment is used to determine whether there is a significant relationship between students' attitudes with the result of reading comprehension. From the results found from the SPSS 16 application with a sample of 63 students in the 2019 class, there is a correlation of 0.478. These result indicates that students' reading attitudes are positively related to their reading comprehension. Thus, students must continue to read to improve their English reading skill.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan 8 warkop yang berada di Kawasan Kesamben yang mempunyai nama unik. Data kemudian diaalisis sesuai dengan kajian semantik dan tentunya hal yang melatarbelakangi penamaan warkop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Nama dalam dunia usaha menjadi salah satu sarana promosi dan daya tarik bagi calon konsumen. Nama-nama muncul dari kehidupan manusia yang beragam. Nama merupakan dari kata untuk menyebut tempat, binatang dan makanan.
Some of the errors in translating kitab are improper matching in the target language (TL), adding words or phrases beyond the source text, shifts in word level, omission of equivalent words and phrases, and errors identifying words in the source language (SL). The purpose of this study is to explain the translation process by analyzing the translation techniques that often appear in the Kitab Syarah Usfuriah and assessing the quality of the translation results on accuracy, acceptability and readability. This study uses a qualitative method. The subject of this research is the translation of Kitab Syarah Usfuriah by choosing two hadiths, namely the fourth hadith about the virtue of seeking knowledge and the forty hadith about people of the end of time. The translation technique used in this study is adaptation is used to replace the existing cultural elements in the source language (SL) into cultural elements similar to the target language (TL). Borrowing translation technique take a word or expression straight from another language. Established equivalent by translating the source language expressions into expressions that are commonly used in the target language (TL), and the terms of those expressions can include phrases, clauses, and idiomatic expressions. Literal translation by translating the source language (SL) text as it is without paying attention to context. Particularization which uses more concrete terms and special. The quality of the translation results each scored 3 on accuracy, acceptability and readability.
This research focus oh how students apply pragmatylistics in personal essay whereas their background are organization activist who also have good academic achievement. This research apply some theories in analyzing data, namely: stylistics, personal essay and communication. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Beside that this research use two data collection techniques: observation and interview. So that this research describe phenomenon which relate to research problem.
