Nagari Sungai Pinang merupakan salah satu nagari di kawasan pesisir Sumatera Barat mempunyai potensi wisata. Pemetaan partisipatif adalah pemetaan yang dilakukan bersama kelompok masyarakat mengenai tempat dimana mereka hidup dan mereka memiliki pengetahuan yang mendalam mengenai wilayahnya. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini di Nagari Sungai Pinang adalah membuat peta potensi wisata yang berbasis masyarakat. Sasaran mitra pada Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini adalah Nagari Sungai Pinang, Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Survey pemetaan partisipatif dilaksanakan bersama masyarakat Nagari Sungai Pinang di daratan pesisir dan laut. Hasil pemetaan partisipatif bersama masyarakat menghasilkan peta potensi wisata nagari yang sesuai dengan pengetahuan mereka, kondisi nyata terkini di lapangan, dan kewenangan masyarakat mengelola wisata wisata secara adat nagari. Peta sebaran potensi wisata Nagari Sungai meliputi wisata pantai, snorkling, menyelam (diving), selancar (surfing), perkemahan (camping), wisata jetsky, wisata mangrove, wisata air terjun, wisata pukat pantai dan wisata sunset.
Commercial floating net cage culture is a rapidly growing industry in rural Indonesia. It has become the economic base for income generation in poverty alleviation programmes of the government of West Sumatra province in two villages at Lake Maninjau. The increasing interest in cage development raises questions of its determining factors. This study investigated the influence of different factors on common carp production in cages at Lake Maninjau. Although production function analysis showed that higher fish production could be attained by increasing inputs, there was visual indication of the degradation of water quality. For sustainable development of cage culture, it is necessary to consider the carrying capacity of the lake, the ecological dynamics of the cage system, and the formulation and implementation of regulations to promote environmental preservation.
The pond land suitability in a fish cultivation business is very necessary to be considered to increase the catfish production in Padang city suitability can be done based on 2 aspects, i.e economic (economic evaluation) and physical evaluation. This research aims to the analysis of pond land suitability for the cultivation of catfish enlargement in Padang city using Geographic Information System (GIS) application. The method is overlaid using 9 parameters: a) cultivation pond; b) distance of cultivation from transportation facilities; c) location of cultivation from water sources (rivers/drainage); d) slope; e) soil type; f) land use; g) altitude; h) flood disaster; and i) landslide, then obtained the result of the most suitable area for the catfish cultivation in Padang city is Kuranji Sub-district with the most important parameter is the land use.
<abstract> <p>Aquaculture in floating cages in Lake Maninjau has recorded significant growth, even as the largest contributor to total annual aquacultural production in West Sumatra Province. In this study, we assessed the output of floating net cages in Lake Maninjau, Indonesia. We analyzed the characteristics of fish farming, fish fry, feed supply, and production, and the challenges and opportunities for increasing aquacultural production in the future. We used purposive sampling in this study with an interview questionnaire to obtain information from 80 fish-cultivating households in Lake Maninjau. We then used descriptive statistical methods of data analysis. The results showed that in 2018, there were 17596 floating net cages. The majority (n = 33, 41.25%) of fish farmers have 20 to 40 floating net cages per household, and 67.5% (n = 54) are used for tilapia cultivation. We recorded that 77.5% (n = 62) of fingerlings were sourced from private hatcheries. Six companies supply commercial feed pellets in an amount of 2000 tons per month for aquaculture activities. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Ltd. provides 35% of the feed. The fish species cultivated were Nile tilapia, common carp, giant gourami, Clarias catfish, and pangasius catfish, with gross yields (kg/m<sup>3</sup>/cycle) of 12, 11.5, 10.4, 7.88, and 8.89, respectively. Fish farmers face challenging conditions: poor water quality, mass mortality of tilapia, high fish feed prices and low fish sale prices, and noncash payments. We recommend ensuring the development of floating net cages in Lake Maninjau for a more sustainable future. Therefore, it is necessary to operate as many as 6000 nets to meet guidelines for carrying capacity and cultivation based on the Regional Regulation of Agam Regency Number 5 of 2014 concerning the management of Maninjau Lake, which is accessible proportionally by eight villages. Giant gourami is prioritized for cultivation because it is resistant to poor water quality and high market prices.</p> </abstract>
Ikan hias merupakan salah satu usaha yang mampu memberikan keuntungan bagi pembudidaya ikan di Kota Bukittinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi dan besar pengaruhnya terhadap produksi ikan hias air tawar berbasis UPR di Bukittinggi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu survey dan observasi lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara sensus dan penentuan lokasi secara purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif kemudian data hasil penelitian ditabulasikan dalam Microsoft excel dan diuji dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan uji F, semua faktor produksi dalam kegiatan budidaya ini memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap kegiatan produksi ikan hias air tawar. Hasil tersebut dapat dijabarkan dengan persamaan Y = 0.164+0.005X1+0.799X2+0.191X3+0.029X4. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa hanya jumlah benih dan pakan yang berpengaruh signifikan. Hasil uji koefisien nilai R square sebesar 0,994 artinya faktor determinan menyumbang sebesar 99,4% terhadap kegiatan produksi ikan hias. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa semua faktor produksi berpengaruh nyata terhadap kegiatan budidaya ikan hias air tawar, tetapi hanya variabel jumlah benih dan pakan yang memiliki tingkat pengaruh signifikan tertinggi dengan nilai koefisien determinasi total sebesar 0.994.
