This study aims to determine the ability of algebra students who have 3 levels van Hiele levels. Follow its framework Dindyal framework (2007). Students are required to do 10 algebra shaped multiple choice, then students work 15 about the geometry of the van Hiele level in the form of multiple choice questions. The question has been tested levels of validity and reliability. After learning abilities and levels van Hiele algebra, students were asked to answer two questions descriptions to determine the ability of students in answering the question of algebraic geometry punctuated by interviews. From this study illustrated that students who have achieved level 3 van Hiele able to properly solve problems of algebraic geometry in the content by utilizing the deduction reasoning thinking skills to build the structure geometry in an axiomatic system in solving the problems faced. Teachers play an important role in pushing the speed students through a higher level of thinking through the right exercises. Suggestions for further research can develop on different topics but still within the context of algebraic geometry.
This research is meant to develop innovative teaching equipment which able to improve as well as conserve the culture through Mathematics learning. Learning equipment which is developed are in the form of students' book and LKS (Student's Work Book) of Key words: Mathematics Learning, Javanese culture, Maduries CultureAbstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat menumbuhkan dan melestarikan budaya melalui pembelajaran matematika. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa buku siswa dan LKS mata pelajaran Matematika kelas VII yang dikaitkan dengan budaya masyarakat Jawa Dan Madura yang ada di kabupaten Jember. Penelitian pengembangan ini direncanakan berlangsung dalam tiga tahap. Pertama, kajian teori dan analisis kebutuhan. Kedua, perumusan perangkat pembelajaran sesuai dengan hasil analisis kebutuhan. Ketiga, uji coba perangkat dan eksperimen. Pada penelitian ini model yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terbagi dalam 5 fase, yaitu: 1) Fase Analisis, 2) Fase Desain, 3) Fase Development, 4) Fase Implementasi 5) Fase Evaluasi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP sebanyak 3 orang. Produk pada penelitian ini yaitu buku siswa yang berbasis budaya Jawa dan Madura. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, tes belajar siswa materi keluarga segi empat berdasarkan budaya Jawa dan Madura, baik, dengan rerata 83,33. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku siswa kelas VII SMP berbasis budaya Jawa dan Madura pada materi segiempat efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Matematika, Kebudayaan Jawa, dan Madura PENDAHULUANPengaruh globalisasi yang masuk ke negeri kita memberikan dampak positif bagi generasi penerus bangsa kita. The making of thesis proposal is not easy to do. The main obstacle is the difficulty of finding the literature in the appropriate journal form. This problem becomes important, because it will affect the continuity regarding the study period of students, and it will affect the college and future students concern as well. Therefore, a learning model that is oriented to review the journal as the main activity needs to be applied, while the appropriate model is Research based learning. Thus optimization of journal review on the learning activities can assist students in completing the thesis proposal.
This research aims to know the process and the result of the development of Mathematics Learning Instruments for ethnomathematics based curved space chapter with the help of the Google Form aplication as a support for online learning. This research is development research. Learning instruments development model refers to four D models. The product of this research are teaching materials, student’s worksheet, and evaluation test. This research took place at IX A of junior high school 2 Puger, Jember with consist 36 students. The data collection methods used in this research are the interview, test, and questionnaire. Based on data analysis, this research has three result. First, the learning instrument developed have valid criteria. Secondly, the learning instrument developed have practical criteria based on interview and student’s responses. Third, the learning instrument developed have effective criteria based on student’s score and student’s positive responses.
Perlu adanya penelitian yang dapat mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas VII-D SMPN 4 Jember. Pengambilan sampel subjek dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket gaya belajar, tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dalam tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar visual dominan pada kemampuan representasi visual, dan siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditori dominan pada kemampuan representasi verbal. Sedangkan pada siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik terlihat dominan pada kemampuan simbolik. Sehingga pembelajaran matematika yang memperhatikan gaya belajar siswa diperlukan, agar dapat mempermudah guru untuk memberikan stimulus yang tepat pada setiap kelompok sehingga memperoleh respon positif dari siswa dalam merepresentasikan ide-ide matematikanya. There is a need for research that can describe students' mathematical representation abilities in terms of their learning styles. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class VII-D SMPN 4 Jember. The subject sampling was by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques through learning style questionnaires, mathematical representation ability tests and interviews. There were 3 steps of data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Students who have a visual learning style are dominant in visual representation abilities, and students who have an auditory learning style are dominant in verbal representation abilities. Meanwhile, students who have a kinesthetic learning style are dominant in symbolic abilities. So that learning mathematics that pays attention to student learning styles is needed, in order to make it easier for teachers to provide the right stimulus to each group so as to get a positive response from students in representing their mathematical ideas.
