Relapsing polychondritis (RP) is a rare autoimmune disorder that has been associated
with various other autoimmune conditions. There have been no reported cases about
any patient with psoriasis who has experienced RP recurrence associated with a
change in biologic therapy. This is only the second case of a patient developing RP or
RP recurrence associated with an Interleukin-17 A inhibitor or Tumor Necrosis Factor
alpha inhibitor cessation. We present this case to increase physician awareness of a
relationship between IL-17 A inhibitor use and the induction of relapsing polychondritis.
In addition, we explore current literature related to IL-17 A inhibitor use in psoriasis.
