The objective of this research was to determine the effect of training, integrity and teamwork competence knowledge of the human resources (HR) officials at the Directorate general of defense strategy defense the ministry of defense, Jakarta in 2016. The research used survey method with quantitative approach and path analysis technique. The data were collected from 63 civil sevants as sample. Sample were sellected by simple random sampling from 166 Civil servants as population. The results showed that there is the knowledge competency training effect obtained the correlation coefficient is 0.689 and the value of path coefficient of 0.374, meaning a significant path coefficient; Influence of the knowledge integrity, competency obtained by the correlation coefficient is 0.651 and the value of path coefficient of 0.300, meaning a significant path coefficient; Teamwork influence on competency knowledge obtained the correlation coefficient is 0.704 and the value of path coefficient of 0.299, meaning a significant path coefficient; Effect of training on teamwork obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.598 and the value of path coefficient of 0.409. Means a significant path coefficient; Teamwork integrity influence on the correlation coefficient 0.603 and the value of the path coefficient of 0.417. Means a significant path coefficient; and effect of training for the integrity of the correlation coefficient of 0.455 and the value of the path coefficient of 0.455. Means a significant path coefficient.
Implementation of management systems on health, safety and environment (HSE) in Indonesia is still not optimally implemented, this is because the safety culture is not rooted among the people. Accidents occurred in construction activities will have direct impact on safety construction time, productivity losses and every individual involved in the work. These concerns are responsibility of company that must be addressed by the delivery of an integrated management strategy of quality, health and safety and environment. This study aims to obtain strategic implementation model in occupational safety and health to improve performance, particularly on construction activity. Qualitative and philosophical approaches are methods that used in this research. This research is located at construction area of SPOrT Jabar Arcamanik Indonesia with 10 (ten) research subjects involved. This research indicated that in order to improve performance in construction management, the system must be integrated with safety management strategy which are categorized in three sub area: structure policy organization, procedures and implementation. The implementation of this integration is expected to establish a culture of safety in the context of behavior and environment. In conclusion, the implementation of this project will improve performance in construction activities.
Purpose: The article investigates the impact of transformational leadership and breakthrough leadership on organizational performance both directly and through intervening variables. Design/ Methodology/Approach: This type of research is a quantitative method. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires distributed while secondary data were obtained from a company's annual reports published. Respondents are employees of 15 coal mining companies listed in Indonesia stock exchange with a total of 201 samples from supervisors to directors. The data collected are analyzed using the SEM-AMOS (Structural Equation Model-Analysis of Moment Structures) at that point for the intervention impact by using the Sobel Test. Findings: The findings of the study show that transformational leadership and breakthrough leadership both have a direct influence on employee motivation and satisfaction, but do not have a direct effect on organizational performance. Employees' satisfaction mediates breakthrough leadership on organizational performance. Practical Implication: The study gives an input to the coal mining companies listed to improve organizational performance which requires a breakthrough leadership by fulfilling the requirements of employees' satisfaction. Priority fulfillment of employee satisfaction starts from fulfillment of need, discrepancies, value attainment, equity, and dispositional/genetic component. Originality/ Value: The research provides new concepts in the research framework and builds and enriches alternative dimensions of leadership breakthrough.
Indonesia is the third largest coal producer in the world. Indonesia's total coal production in 2018 is 528 million tons. Of this amount, 320 million tons are produced by coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Among these coal mining companies, there are large performance gaps between each other, both in terms of financial performance and production achievement. Their performance is hypothesized to be influenced by leadership style. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of servant leadership and breakthrough leadership on organizational performance with employee satisfaction as an intervening variable in coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Respondents from this study were 12 coal mining companies listed on the IDX in Indonesia. The type of research used is quantitative methods. The research respondents were 113 people in the position of supervisors to directors. Data were analyzed using the structural equation model (SEM -AMOS). The results showed that servant leadership did not have a positive impact on employee satisfaction but had a positive impact on organizational performance, while breakthrough leadership had a positive impact on employee satisfaction but did not have a positive impact on organizational performance. Employee satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on organizational performance but does not mediate organizational performance. Novelty from this research is about breakthrough leadership.
