Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan dan pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, dan tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Jambi. Metode analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif digunakan pada data runtun waktu (time series) dari tahun 2000-2017. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa selama periode tahun 2000-2017, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan indeks pembangunan manusia berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Jambi. Sebaliknya, tingkat pengangguran terbuka tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Jambi.
This paper aims to analyze economic growth and inequality of development in the region of Sumatra. The study used panel data of provinces in Sumatra region during the period 2011-2015. The method of analysis used is descriptive research method and panel data regression. Based on the results of the analysis is known that economic growth in the region of Sumatra tend to decrease, whereas development inequality ranges from IW (Williamson Index) 0.406-0.446. The highest level of inequality occured in 2012 in South Sumatra Province of 0,876 and the lowest occured in 2014 in Lampung Province in 0,103. Based on the result of panel data regression, it is known that simultaneously investment, government expenditure, agglomeration, and labor influence to economic growth. Likewise, simultaneously investment, government spending, agglomeration, and labor also have an effect on development inequality.. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi di wilayah Sumatera cenderung mengalami penurunan, sedangkan ketimpangan pembangunan berkisar antara IW 0,406-0,446. Tingkat ketimpangan tertinggi terjadi tahun 2012 di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan sebesar 0,876 dan terendah terjadi tahun 2014 di Provinsi Lampung dengan angka 0,103. Berdasarkan hasil regresi data panel diketahui bahwa secara simultan investasi, belanja pemerintah, aglomerasi, dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Demikian juga, secara simultan investasi, belanja pemerintah, aglomerasi, dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh juga terhadap ketimpangan pembangunan.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, pertumbuhan penduduk, dan produktivitas tenaga kerja terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kota Jambi.. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah data time series dari tahun 2000-2013. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel yaitu pertumbuhan ekonomi, pertumbuhan penduduk, dan produktivitas tenaga kerja memilki pengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kota Jambi. Secara parsial variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, produktivitas tenaga kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, sedangkan pertumbuhan penduduk berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kota Jambi, dengan nilai R-squared sebesar 0.9853 angka ini menunjukkan sekitar 98% dari variasi penyerapan tenaga kerja di Kota Jambi periode 2000-2013 dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan ekonomi, pertumbuhan penduduk dan produktivitas tenaga kerja, sedangkan sisanya 2 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain diluar model estimasi
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze 1) the proportion of regional expenditure in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency; 2) regional fiscal capacity in West Tanjung Jabung Regency; 3) the ratio of regional financial independence of West Tanjung Jabung Regency; 4) the financial performance of the regional government of West Tanjung Jabung Regency and 5) the influence of regional spending on economic growth in the West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the proportion of indirect expenditure to regional expenditure tended to decrease, while the proportion of direct expenditure to regional expenditure had an increase. The fiscal capacity of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency for 11 years is still very lacking at the interval scale. The regional financial independence of West Tanjung Jabung Regency is in the low criteria. The regional financial performance of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency is in the low and very low criteria. Study are as follows: To analyze the effect of economic growth, poverty level, government expenditure and open unemployment on the Human Development Index (HDI) of the Provincial Provinces in Sumatra for the period 2013-2017. Based on the results of the study that economic growth has a significant effect on the human development index. Poverty level has a significant effect on the human development index. Open unemployment has a significant effect on the human development index. Government expenditure has a significant effect on the Human Development Index.
