The swift flow of globalization has led to increasingly eroded Indonesian local culturalvalues. This has caused a shift in neglected cultural values and local wisdom. Therefore,an approach is needed, namely ethnoscience in the learning process. This studypurposed to determine whether The Elementary School of Muhammadiyah Alam SuryaMentari has applied ethnoscience in science learning and describe the implementationof ethnoscience based on science learning in The Elementary School of MuhammadiyahAlam Surya Mentari.The method used was descriptive qualitative research design. Theresults of the study showed that the planning of science learning based on ethnoscienceapproach in This School was still unplanned, but the school had unconsciously implementedethnoscience approach. The implementation of science based on ethnosciencelearning was by integrating between the material with the environment, culture, and socialin the environment. Evaluation of the implementation of ethnoscience based on sciencelearning included cognitive, affective, and psychomotor evaluation in accordance withevaluation standards in the 2013 curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of Wayang Pahlawan (learning media) and documentary film (learning media) for cultivating nationalism among fourth-grade students. The type of this study was comparative with a quasi-experimental approach. This study was carried from March to July 2019. The subjects in this study were fourth-grade students (aged 9-10 years) at Public Elementary School of 9 Purwodadi, Central Java, Indonesia (n = 38). Subjects were divided into two study groups. The first group was a group of students who received media treatment of Wayang Pahlawan. In contrast, the second group was a group of students who received media treatment of the documentary film. The data collection method used a questionnaire related to nationalism indicators. Validity test of items used the Product Moment Correlation, while KR 20 formula for reliability test. The normality test used the Liliefors method, the homogeneity test used the Leven test, while the hypothesis test used the Independent Sample T-Test. This study showed that Wayang Pahlawan and the documentary film showed an increase between the pretest and post-test results. It means that Wayang Pahlawan and documentary film can cultivate nationalism among fourth-grade students. Meanwhile, the documentary film was more effective in cultivating nationalism than Wayang Pahlawan. This study contributes to the existing literature about character education, especially nationalism. Data given will provide the elementary school teachers, department of elementary school teacher education, as well as ministry of education with information on how to cultivate nationalism effectively.
Adapun tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memberikan wawasan dan keterampilan terkait game online dalam situs www.mathgametime.com pada guru-guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Jawa Tengah. Materi yang diberikan meliputi: (1) Permainan Super Grocery Shopper, (2) Permainan Girrafe Race Time, (3) Permainan Quick Calculate, serta (4) Permainan Quick Math. Metode yang digunakan oleh tim pengabdian yaitu metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan tanya jawab. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian ini, maka diadakan evaluasi dengan cara tanya jawab dan meminta bukti keterampilan peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, 18 Juni 2022 melalui Google Meeting. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dihadiri oleh guru-guru SD di Jawa Tengah dengan jumlah keseluruhan 26 peserta dari 10 Kabupaten dan Kota. Dari hasil sesi tanya jawab, diketahui bahwa secara umum peserta cukup baik dalam memahami pentingnya penggunaan teknologi canggih dalam pembelajaran Matematika. Peserta juga memahami dan sepakat jika pemanfaatan game online sangat menarik untuk diterapkan. Pengabdian ini berjalan cukup lancar dan efisien walaupun ada sedikit kendala jaringan saat memutar salah satu game online. Peserta sangat antusias dalam menyambut pengabdian ini, terbukti dengan banyaknya tanggapan positif dan permintaan training serupa di masa depan.
