The role of farmer groups in urban areas is very much needed in the development of horticultural commodities because it is estimated that the demand for horticultural commodities will increase as the population increases. This is certainly a good business opportunity for urban farmers, especially urban female farmer groups (KWT). The purpose of this research is to examine economically horticultural farming in urban KWT in Bogor in terms of income aspects and the efficiency of using farm costs. The research location was at 52 KWT Bogor City from June-November 2020. Collecting data using questionnaires, survey techniques, interview observation, and documentation study. The study used farm income analysis, while the efficiency analysis was measured by the R/C ratio. The results of the economic study showed that the average cash income of horticultural farming at KWT in Bogor per year per area of 487 m2 was IDR 3,514,080.75 or equivalent to IDR 7,203,865.55 / year / 10 are, while the average total income worth IDR 1,190,686.16 per 487 m2 or equivalent to IDR 2,440,906.62 / year / 10 are. The R / C value of the ratio of cash costs is 4.24, and the R / C ratio of total costs, the value is 1.37, which means that horticultural farming in KWT in Bogor is efficient to run because the targeted input compared to the actual input is greater or equal to one.
Various methods have been implemented to encourage the increase of horticultural commodities, especially KWT in Bogor, such as assistance with production facilities, increasing the competence of farmers and extension officers, and post-harvest processing and marketing. Nevertheless, efforts to expand horticultural commodities still need to overcome various obstacles. Identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats from horticultural farming activities, especially KWT in Bogor, is necessary right strategy is obtained to increase only horticultural commodities that have economic value and are highly competitive, sustainable, able to improve farmers' welfare, and in line with the economic concept of green (Green Economy). Starting from this idea, it is necessary to research the identification of superior horticultural commodities and know the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of superior horticultural commodities at KWT in Bogor so that agricultural development in Bogor is right on target. The study results showed that the commodity with the highest LQ value was the ornamental plant Aglaonema, worth 274.33. The results of the SWOT analysis obtained a strategy to increase superior commodities, namely collaboration with garden decoration services or ornamental plant lovers to introduce seller brands, as well as increase promotion through social media, exhibition meetings or events, or the aglaonema ornamental plant hobbyist community, with a QSPM value of 4.364 each and 4,236.
The Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Bogor City encourages its residents to be able to maximize agricultural potential even though the available land is limited in order to improve food security and family welfare. Optimal use of any agricultural land by using superior seeds and appropriate technology through a production process that meets quality assurance standards and is environmentally sound. The availability of seeds is an important factor in the development of urban farming because seeds are one of the main production facilities in plant cultivation activities. Extension activities and seed production training for 15 members of the Dalima and Lestari Women's Farmer Group, Balumbang Jaya Village, West Bogor District, are expected to be able to increase the ability of farmer groups to be able to produce seeds independently both for their own and commercial needs. Extension activities on understanding the quality of seeds and training on good seed production methods, starting from selecting the level of fruit maturity in accordance with the criteria to be used as seeds, pre-processing, cleaning, sorting and drying seeds, as well as packaging and storing seeds are very enthusiastic to be followed by the women's group. farmers in Balumbang Jaya Village. The response of the women farmer groups to this activity was very satisfied and asked that this activity be developed into other commodities.
Market orientation is one of the business culture that produces the best performance through commitment to the customer. The aim of study is to analyze the factors that affect market orientation in operate a business to improve business performance on MSEs in the city of Bogor. The research was conducted on micro small business of tempe in Bogor City. The number of respondents in the research as much as thirty respondents with the determination of respondents by purposive sampling. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with smart partial least squares (smart PLS) approach. The results of this study indicated customer orientation variables significantly affect business performance with the results of T tests 2.996> 1.96, competitor orientation variables significantly affect business performance with the test results T 2.544> 1.96, and variables interfunctional coordination was not significantly affect business performance with test results T 1.687 <1.96. Thus, customer orientation and competitor orientation have significant influence to business performance, while inter-functional coordination factor not give significant influence to business performance.Keywords : Market Orientation, Partial Least Square
The Women Farmers Group (KWT) Puspa Sari is one of the KWTs in Bogor that has succeeded in empowering members and the surrounding community to use vacant land to be productive. Currently, KWT Puspa Sari in Bogor City has business activities, including plant production, medicinal plant processing, marketing processed medicinal plants and microfinance businesses. However, some of the problems faced by KWT include the lack of knowledge related to postharvest handling of medicinal plants into ready-to-sell products. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the knowledge and skills of the management and members of KWT as well as the community around handling harvests, especially TOGA, so that they have added value and increased the selling price. Increased value added can be done by utilizing postharvest technology such as making simplicia followed by packaging and labelling. Packaging equipped with labelling will make the product more durable and attractive. This service activity consists of several stages, including the preparation stage, which provides surveys, targeting, and preparation of materials/materials and tools. The implementation stage includes exposure to material and practice and the training evaluation stage through satisfaction questionnaires and measurement of training activities before and after questionnaires training. This community service activity showed an increase in knowledge and skills in TOGA postharvest management by 18.60 percent after this training. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire distributed to the training participants, 80.31 percent were satisfied with this training activity. Hopefully, with this training, it is hoped that KWT Puspa Sari Bogor City can increase the added value of TOGA and can develop the marketing of cultivation products and postharvest handling of TOGA.Key words : Postharvest, the added value, TOGA, KWTAbstrakKelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Puspa Sari merupakan salah satu KWT di Kota Bogor yang berhasil memberdayakan anggota dan masyarakat di sekitarnya dalam memanfaatkan lahan kosong menjadi produktif. Saat ini KWT Puspa Sari Kota Bogor memiliki kegiatan usaha meliputi produksi tanaman, pengolahan tanaman obat, pemasaran hasil olahan tanaman obat, dan usaha keuangan mikro. Namun, beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi KWT diantaranya masih minimnya pengetahuan terkait penanganan pascapanen tanaman obat menjadi produk siap dijual. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus dan anggota KWT serta masyarakat sekitar tentang penanganan pascapanen khususnya tanaman obat keluarga agar memiliki nilai tambah dan meningkatkan harga jualnya. Peningkatan nilai tambah dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi pascapanen seperti pembuatan simplisia yang dilanjutkan dengan pengemasan dan pelabelan. Pengemasan yang dilengkapi dengan pelabelan akan menjadikan produk lebih awet dan lebih menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap diantaranya : tahap persiapan yang meliputi survei, penentuan sasaran, penyusunan bahan / materi, dan persiapan alat, tahap pelaksanaan meliputi paparan materi dan praktek. Tahap evaluasi pelatihan melalui angket kepuasan dan pengukuran kegiatan pelatihan melalui kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan terhadap penanganan pascapanen tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) sebesar 18,60 % setelah adanya pelatihan ini. Berdasarkan angket kepuasan yang disebarkan kepada peserta pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 80,31 % dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan ini. Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan ini KWT Puspa Sari Kota Bogor dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah TOGA dan dapat mengembangkan pemasaran hasil budidaya dan pengelolaan pascapanen TOGA.Kata Kunci : Pascapanen, nilai tambah, TOGA, KWT
