Abstract There was no development of Javanese script learning media impacted with the less interesting and ineffective learning process so that students have difficulty in understanding Javanese script material. This study aimed to describe the students and teachers’ needs for Javanese script learning media, describe the prototype of the Javanese script Jenga media, and describe the results of the validation of media and material experts on the Javanese script Jenga media. The method of this study used Research and Development. Then, in collecting data this study used interview and questionnaire techniques. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that students and teachers need an interesting and effective learning media to help them easier in understanding Javanese script material. The prototype of the Javanese Script Jenga media consists of a media box, Javanese Script Jenga wooden block, cards and their boxs, dice, blackboard, markers, students’ guidebook, and teacher's manual handout with practice questions and answer keys. Based on the assessment result, Jenga Aksara Jawa media prototype obtained an assessment percentage of 80% from media experts and 77.6% from material experts. Expert validators also provided suggestions and input that can be received into consideration by researchers to improve the Javanese script Jenga media prototype shortcomings. Therefore, this Javanese script media is proper to be used as a learning media with improvements according to the suggestions.
Objectives of the research are (1) to know the necessity of learning Javanese speech, (2) to know the prototype development of media pepipak video, (3) to know the product validation of media pepipak video for speech learning. This research uses the research and development approach. The development of this media is through five steps, i.e (1) potential problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) test expert validation, (5) design improvement. The instrument of this research is the nontest instrument in the form questionnaire. Based on the analysis results, the necessity of learning Javanese speech shows the teacher and the students need media pepipak video. The prototype results of media pepipak video have duration 04.18 minutes which consist of: (1) opening of media, (2) content of media, (3) closing of media. The test expert validation of the materials and media are obtained percentage 71.76% and 78,82% which includes a good category with some revisions, that is on the opening of media which is added the identity of the media maker.
In number of developed countries, analysis on tourism tendency has been developed academically and institutionalized. This kind of study is considered sufficient if it is implemented in Kentrung performing arts. Kentrung is one of typical art from Blora regency. It is considered a complex art show comprises several sub elements, i.e. narrative story, music, drama, and parikan or pantoum. The target is to describe: the form of Blora Regency's Javanesse pantoum, its function, as well as its meaning. Results show that the form of a Javanesse Pantoum consists of intervowen quatrains known as sampiran (the pun) and isi (the content). Sampiran is merely created as the introductory part before the actual content in the last two lines. The relation between sampiran and isi is not in terms of its meaning or purpose, but more to the relation of sounds in which the repetition of pattern can be found.
In learning at school, sometimes teachers find it difficult to explain and teach the tembang dolanan due to the lack of teaching materials that explain details about it. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's needs for the development of enrichment books, compile a prototype for the development of enrichment books, and describe the results of the expert validation test on the development of enrichment books. This research was conducted using an R&D approach from Borg & Gall. The target sources data are students, teachers, media experts, and material experts. Data collection techniques are interview techniques and filling out questionnaires. The results of this study include (1) the analysis of teacher needs for the development of enrichment books on the material (tembang dolanan), that teachers want interesting complementary teaching materials for learning tembang dolanan for third-grade elementary school students. (2) the development of the prototype includes a book cover designed with children's pictures, while the contents of the book consist of ten lists of dolanan songs and their meanings. (3) The results of the expert validation test got several improvements from the validator, namely, adding page numbers, changing the title font of the dolanan song, correcting wrong diction, correcting wrong lyrics, and replacing some dolanan songs that are not in accordance with learning.
