This study examines the interpretation of QS. al-Nisa`: 43 which discusses tayammum. The significance of this research is that in understanding QS. al-Nisa`: 43, there are many differences of opinion among scholars about the meaning and procedure of tayammum. Therefore, this article is presented by using qualitative methods and muqāran interpretation as an approach. Tayammum hadith facts and their context will also be presented to understand the QS. al-Nisa`: 43 comprehensively. This study shows that there are at least four points of difference among scholars regarding the interpretation of the words mardhā, safar, Falam Tajidū Māan, and ṣa‘īd. Such differences are caused by some scholars who do not consider the hadiths of tayammum comprehensively.
Abstract This study tries to investigate the use of qirā`at shādhah in Shia interpretation. The discussion about qirā`at shādhah in the study of al-Qur`an exegesis is still interesting to examine. It is indicated that different perspectives can affect the realization of understanding the Qur'an. This can be seen, for example, in the debates of al-Shāfi'i and Mālik with Abū Ḥanīfah and Aḥmad in understanding surah al-Māidah verse 89 which explains about the fine for violation of oaths which results different legal products. The use of qirā`at shādhah seems to have also been of concern to the Shi'ah interpreters. Al-Ṭabāṭabā'ī for example in al-Mīzan fi Tafsīr al-Qur'ān stated that permissiveness of mut'ah marriage was mentioned in the QS. al-Nisā 'verse 24 which was corroborated by qirā`at shādhah Ubay bin Ka'ab, Ibn Mas'ūd, and Ibn Abbās. Meanwhile, al-Shawkānī Shi'a scholar taking the Zaidiyyah thought, argued otherwise. Nikah mut'ah is not allowed because the argument is interrogated (mansūkh). This means that qirā`at shādhah is also an important term for the Shi'ah group to be used as a tool for analysis in producing new laws in the products of their interpretation. Therefore, this paper will look at how the existence of qirā`at shādhah in Shia Interpretation work, especially the differences between their scholars regarding it. In addition, the discussion of qirā`at in Shi'ah is still rarely found. As a comparison, this paper will describe the terms nikah mut'ah and imāmah. Abdullah Azzam dikenal sebagai ideolog jihad modern di dunia dan menjadi rujukan utama kaum Mujahidin dalam melakukan aksi radikal. Ia meyakini surat al-Tawbah telah me-naskh lebih dari 120 ayat tentang perdamaian yang turun sebelumnya. Namun terdapat beberapa masalah pada kaidah naskh yang digunakannya. Pertama, kaidah naskh adalah pilihan pertama dan tidak menganggap adanya munasabah sebelum dilakukan naskh. Kedua, kaidah naskh yang digunakannya bertentangan dengan kaidah naskh ‘Ulum al-Qur`an yang berlaku. Ketiga, ia tidak konsisten dalam menggunakan kaidah naskh yang dibangunnya sendiri. Corruption is a chronic problem that is difficult to solve and has undermined various institutions and countries. Various eradication efforts have been carried out in a strict and systematic manner, but in fact they have never really succeeded. This shows that a legal and political approach is not the only way to deal with corruption. This research is here to investigate the views of the Qur'an on corruption, although it does not discuss specifically about corruption, it is here to respond to human problems in every era. The method used in this research is qualitative with a thematic interpretation writing model. The results of this study indicate that the Qur'an warns that corruptors will not only be tortured in the Hereafter, but will also be diminished and humiliated. The prohibition on corruption in the Qur'an is aimed to keep peace and welfare in society. Al-Qur'an's solution to tackling corruption is more focused on shaping human character, strengthening faith and improving morals. Berbagai upaya pemberantasan telah dicanangkan secara ketat dan sistematis, namun dalam faktualnya tidak pernah benar-benar berhasil. Ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan hukum dan politik bukanlah satu-satunya cara untuk menangani korupsi. Penelitian ini hadir untuk menelisik bagaimana pandangan al-Qur`an tentang korupsi, meskipun ia tidak berbicara spesifik terkait korupsi, namun ia hadir untuk merespon persoalan manusia di setiap zaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan model penulisan tafsir tematik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa al-Qur`an memberikan peringatan bahwa koruptor selain akan disiksa di Akhirat, juga akan dibuat hina dan dipermalukan. Larangan korupsi dalam al-Qur`an ditujukan demi menjaga ketenteraman dan kesejahteraan hidup bermasyarakat.
