Enzymatically induced calcite precipitation (EICP) is a new breakthrough for liquefaction prevention. This approach uses urease enzyme directly instead of bacteria to hydrolyze urea that precipitated as calcite crystal by the availability of calcium ion. Cyclic triaxial shear test under undrained condition incorporated with bender element test were conducted conscientiously on the EICP-treated sands. The parameters study reviewed includes: size of the sand particle, confining pressure, calcite contents, and saturation degrees along curing. The effects of those factors on the shear modulus are systematically investigated and compared. It was revealed that the precipitated calcite wraps the sand particles, which supports simultaneously to the mechanical properties’ improvement. The sum of materials needed of urea and CaCl2 to reach a target of maximum shear modulus can be diminished prominently by reducing the saturation degree along curing. It is also revealed that the formation of the precipitated calcite is more significant than its amount on the strength improvement. The maximum shear modulus (Gmax ) of the sands treated with EICP increases with increasing in the calcite content, confining pressure, and decreasing in the saturation degrees during curing but the influence of the sands grain size is insignificant.
Logistics Transportation in supporting Logistics movement in urban areas has very limited space for certain road segments, especially for large trucks and container vehicles. The limited space of movement will determine the effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics transportation itself. Logistics travel from to and from trading locations, finally reaching consumers is not a simple matter, but is influenced by the various chain of movements that affect costs, time, security and safety. The factors that influence the pattern of distribution of freight transport in Kendari City, Types of modes of commercial goods transportation, Road networks and supporting infrastructure, Land use Patterns.
Planning design of wastewater treatment plant in a market is needed to improve the quality of water that will be discharged so it doesn’t pollute the environment and the near. The goal of this study is to determine the discharge of wastewater will be treated and the design of treatment basin in the wet lods area of Mandonga Traditional Market. Result of wastewater is 7.88 m3/day with a waste concentration of pH 7, BOD 64.2 mg/day, and TSS 2.130 mg/day. Wet Lods Wastewater Treatment Plant in Mandonga Traditional Market has 6 compartments such as a control tub with the fine filter addition which has a volume of 0.072 m3/day, the initial settling tank has a volume of 1 m3/day, anaerobic biofilter has a volume of 1.83 m3/day, aerobic tubs have a volume of 0.42 m3/day, the final settling tank I has a volume of 1.1 m3/day and the final settling tub II has a volume of 1.1 m3/day.
The existence of a smooth highway is needed to speed up the process of transporting people, goods and services and shortening the travel time. If the road is damaged, it will result in a decline in the economy in an area. In an effort to improve road performance, it is necessary to know the level of damage and the type of damage to the road. This study will discuss the existing conditions of Durian Anduonohu and Manunggal roads based on visual observations and analyzed using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, specifically for measuring vehicle speed, the moving car observer method is used. The final result of this research is the level of damage and type of road damage on Durian Anduonohu road, quite severe with a PCI value ranging from 30-67 with an average damage of 39% meaning bad conditions, with the equation from the regression analysis the following regression model results are obtained: Y = (1,390)*(0.056) x which means that there is an effect of the level of damage to the road on the speed of the vehicle at each additional PCI value. Analysis of the level of damage and types of damage to the Manunggal road segment with PCI values ranging from 41-55 with an average damage of 42%, which means that the road damage is in moderate condition (Fair), with the equation of the regression analysis the following Regression model results are: Y=(1.356))(0.044) x which means that there is an effect of the level of damage to the road on the speed of the vehicle at each additional PCI value. This research is expected to be a barometer of the Kendari city government or related agencies in trying to overcome or repair the two roads so that the flow of people, goods and services runs smoothly and the economy of the city of Kendari can continue to increase.
The Technology of precast concrete growing rapidly. The concrere research has been aimed to create an innovation simplify and to reduce weaknesses of concrete include precast concrete. This study aims to research the connection of precast beams with combination notches type. This study used precast beams which dimensions were 20x30x270 cm, f'(c) was 25MPa. The precast beams which connection by diagonal types, the length of connection was 15 cm and 20 cm. The samples used 3(three) beams ie. 2 (two) of beams precast as BM-15 and BM-20 which are connected by diagonal types with grouting 0MPa and 1 (one) of monolith beam as BN. The results of researches that the strongest beam precast was BM-20 on 44,05 kN or 30,41 % than monolith beam (BN).
