General visions in the architectural field shared many concepts. There are numerous indicators for dealing with these concepts, in addition to communicating with deeper areas that formed a source for scientific addition to them. Epistemology is one of these concepts that represent a necessary and essential field and has a fundamental value of knowledge. Epistemology can represent an intellectual expansion to any other field. Therefore, the scope for this study was to investigate influence of that field through its basic concept (epistemology), with common implicit idea of architecture, in addition to clarifying the state of relationship between the two main terms of the research. This research aims to define and study the general frameworks of basic research concepts of epistemology and creativity and their interconnections within architectural propositions to identify their fundamental indicators within a specific theoretical framework that is formed for this purpose after proposing the research problem. The research problem was represented by the weak clarity of cognitive perception correlation between the concepts of epistemology and creativity, and impact of this correlation in architecture, up to applying the terms and indicators of the theoretical framework to an elected and specific architectural product, and then to present, analyze, and discuss the results of that application, reaching to final conclusions. The outcomes have revealed the significant influence of the indicators of general conceptual frameworks for the epistemology relationship with creativity versus the more substantial impact of interactive and detailed structures for that relationship.
The research deals with the thermal range phenomenon at the in inhabited areas. The shape and size of buildings varies according to the location, weather conditions and elements of the environment, thus exploring the nature, the negative effects, the causes and the elements of the human environment that help increase this phenomenon to the aim of developing the appropriate solutions to reduce the effects of the thermal range phenomenon. Hence emerged the issue of this research (The Absence of Comprehensive and Clear Sustainable Design Solutions to Reduce the Phenomenon of Thermal Range). In order to find solutions for this problem, a comprehensive conceptual framework was developed that illustrates a set of sustainable design solutions to reduce the phenomenon of thermal range. The theoretical framework application concepts on selected local study cases adopted to determine the extent to which these cases are met for the sustainable design solutions within the theoretical framework. By analyzing the results of the application, the selective local study cases showed that they did not acquire these solutions a matter that leads to the increase of this phenomenon and its multiple negative effects. The research concluded that the adoption of the sustainable design treatments within the theoretical framework is contributing to reduce this phenomenon that most of our local cities are suffering from.
The reality of contemporary architecture refers that the architectural form may not always reflect the structure of the structure. There are two different models in the relationship between the form and the structure: one contradicts the form with the structure while they work separately, and the other in which the form stems from the structure, overlaps and is compatible with it. Developments in structural engineering have profoundly influenced architecture, where the use of new structural materials and new structural systems to define the formal characteristics of contemporary architecture, the emergence of digital programming and parametric design enabled a return to historical tectonic symbols and self-modulation in the natural structures and materials science and analysis to create a contemporary architectural structures. From here came the desire to explore the nature of this coexistance relationship. The main objective of this study was to clarify the relationship of form with the structure by giving a clear vision about one of the types of form correlation with the structure, which is the relationship of coexistance in which the form stems from the structure that the structure reads the form and be the source of its creation. The problem of research is the lack of clarity of the formal and structural harmonic relationship and the ways for achieving this harmony in contemporary architectural products. The main elements are derived from the concepts related to research and analysis of the set of architectural applications that achieved the case of coexistance and the practical application, and then come up with the results and conclusions that related to the case of formal-structural harmony in contemporary architecture which is achieved through a combination of intellectual, symbolic and material factors with digital techniques.
Since the design is less clear for the design idea during the night time, so, it is possible to enhance and activate the facades of that building at night using the attraction and excitement element, such as artificial lighting, and then building additional effects or hiding certain parts of the building. The search is limited to artificial lighting which is supported on the principle of stereoscopic deletion and addition in displaying the architectural facades in general. These visual forms are the result of the addition of a visible and intangible virtual stereoscopic interface, and thus, the addition to the building or deletion of part of it can be achieved, in addition to the formation of many interpretations of the building during the age of the individual. This could lead to the diversity and attraction of attention and staying away from boredom and thus increase interaction between the receiver and the building at night. Hence, the objective of the research was to increase the efficiency between the receiver and the building through the multiple interpretive readings of the architectural facade. Based on this, the research problem has emerged (the limits of the effectiveness of the facades lighting for the receiver in terms of multiple interpretations through light and shadow, and project it on virtual areas). A set of previous studies have been listed and then a cognitive framework has been built based on practical application. The results have been revealed that photo exhibiting illumination is better than video and flash exhibition which are accompanied by sound effects that create a kind of confusion, lack of clarity and loss the privacy of the building. The research also found that a large number of multi interpretations using deletion and shadow drilling, resulting from reading the architectural facade at night, does not affect its design during the day.
Studies has focused generally on studying generally and specific researches concepts in architecture, one of these concepts was the identity and the ways that support constructing and specifying the identity concept with in various frames , but it ignore important side which represented by experimenting two points which they are the figure and background visually and the exchangeable connection and the effect of each one of them on the other in forming the general frames to identity in sight of architectural knowledge frame around all identity and its relationships with figure and background visually. This paper aims to define the general visions to study the identity concept in general and the effect of figure and background visually and the exchangeable effect between them in constructing the basis of this new identity by specifying the knowledge proposition about the general subject then build a theoretical frame for these concepts and apply it on specific architectural case study representing a practical example of the identity concept in architecture and analyzing the results of about there are approximate in nature and level of results of figure and background visually and its relationship exchangeable with identity.
