This paper presents narrative-biographic research conducted with participation of women who declare that they have introduced important changes into their lives. The qualitative data was collected using narrative interviews as well as a tool to examine changes in the biographic perspective; namely, Line of life. In the presented paper, the authors reconstructed biographical self-creation, meaning the ways of life in which important changes are a central category of a story about life. The authors reconstruct three different ways of narrators’ lives – “spreading one’s wings,” “milestones,” “deus ex machina,” and a case study that describes the process of self-creation and introduction of important changes into a life in more detail.
The article is an introductory note from biographical narrative studies among women who declare making significant life changes. The authors wish to examine and describe the mechanisms of life re-decisions whose purpose is a multi-aspect reorientation of one's life, and which was interpreted as the processes of making significant ideological, emotional, spiritual, relational, and professional changes or decisions involving a radical change of one's environment. Qualitative data was obtained by means of narrative interviews and all the tools used to study the changes in biographical perspective of the Life Lines were also applied by the authors in building a hypothetical model of life re-decisions, which describe four tips of re-decisions. The findings suggest that certain temperament traits may be related to preference of surgical or nonsurgical specialties. This knowledge of temperament traits could be a useful tool in helping graduates choose a fulfilling career best suited to their psychological well-being and diagnosing work related issues in the medical profession.

Creative transgression in the process of personal development AbstractThe article and the research presented in it are inspired by concepts that deal with the subject of the transgressive nature of human existence. The author attempted to present the multidimensionality and meaning of creative transgressions in the context of the development of an adult person. The article is a review of the author's own studies that lead her towards constructing the model of transgression as a life-long process of (self)learning.
