The paper describes the diversity of problem statements and solving procedures in AHP/ANP applications. AHP/ANP is considered as a powerful researching tool, which can be applied to different problems. The approach for the revealing of the most influential elements in network model is offered and demonstrated by the example. The procedure of step-by-step complication of the network model is illustrated by the example of researching the efficiency of expense items of state budget in Russian Federation.

The analytic network process is a powerful tool for examining difficult decisions under uncertainty. This paper explores the urgent decision connected with the copyrights on Internet. This theme is being widely discussed, but nobody knows, what to do. We have attempted to do a multi‐criteria analysis of the problem, taking into consideration benefits, costs and risks. As alternatives, we examined different measures for the regulation of Internet content, and as main actors—content creators, customers and providers. The resulting outcomes show that free use of Internet content is the best alternative. Measures related to punishment turn out to have negative prospects. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

In psychology decision-making is regarded as cognitive processes by which a preferred strategy is chosen from among several alternatives based on different criteria.

This paper describes the developed intelligent software for decisions support, based on AHP. Such a system is able to solve static and dynamic decisions making problems and it's able to carry out a consequences forecasting of the accepted decisions. Described decision support system (DSS) includes a database, a knowledge base and a subsystem for knowledge extraction from database (data-mining system). The database contains the information, received from the experts during the problems' solving. The knowledge base is filled with the information, which is formed on the base of the analysis of solved problems. The developed software has the friendly user interface. The example of the solving dynamic problem with use of the developed software are considered.
