Learning physics will be less optimal if the teacher teaches based on the textbook. Other alternative media are needed to increase the student interesting in learning and make the student can studies easier. Especially fundamental chapters such as the dynamics of motion, like pulley systems. Because in those problems, it involves both of the dynamics in translation and rotational motion. Using Matlab-based on Graphic User Interface (GUI) is expected to increase student’s interesting and understanding of the problems in the pulley system. Because students just only enter the required input data and adjust the desired system conditions to calculate the quantities asked for that problem. Furthermore, the designed GUI can present a brief and concise explanation with easy language to understand by students about the phenomenon and students can also see the formula used in the pulley system problem.
<p><strong><em>Abstract.</em></strong><em>The purpose of this public service activities is to enhance the role of vocational teachers and vocational Respati 1 Respati 2 in developing innovative learning media. Innovation learning media in the form of web logs. Log web presence is expected to be maximized by teachers as an alternative medium of knowledge transmission, media on-line learning, as well as solutions to the problem of lack of conventional instructional hours in class. Web logs can be accessed by students and teachers anywhere and anytime, which is expected to motivate students to learn independently grasp the concepts of the lessons. This learning innovations make the learning process more flexible and efficient. The method in this devotion in the form of training methods, mentoring and discussion. Training is done by giving seminars creating web log and web log manufacturing practices teaching materials by teachers was held on December 15-16, 2016. The results of the training in the form of web logs each participant that can be used for the learning process. Inovasi media pembelajaran berupa <em>web log</em>. Keberadaan <em>web log</em> diharapkan dapat dimaksimalkan oleh para guru sebagai media alternatif penyampaian pengetahuan, media pembelajaran <em>on-line</em>, serta solusi untuk masalah kurangnya jam pembelajaran konvensional di kelas. <em>Web log</em> tersebut dapat diakses oleh siswa dan guru dimana pun dan kapan pun, sehingga diharapkan dapat memotivasi siswa untuk belajar mandiri memahami konsep-konsep pelajaran. Inovasi pembelajaran ini membuat proses pembelajaran lebih fleksibel dan efisien. Metode dalam pengabdian ini berupa metode pelatihan, pendampingan, dan diskusi. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan seminar pembuatan <em>web log</em> dan praktik pembuatan <em>web log</em> bahan ajar oleh guru yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15-16 desember 2016. Hasil pelatihan berupa <em>web log</em> masing-masing peserta yang dapat digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran. Luaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa modul pembuatan <em>web log</em>.</p><p><strong>Kata Kunci: <em>e-learning</em>, <em>web log</em>, bahan ajar.</strong></p>
Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, yaitu membantu mitra (RA Insan Madani Yayasan Perguruan Al Khawarizmi) dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan pengelolaan administrasi sekolah yang masih belum terstruktur/ optimal dan keterbatasan kamampuan guru dalam pengoperasian microsoft excel. Untuk menyelesaikan persoalan tersebut tim pelaksana melakukan suatu pelatihan pengembangan keterampilan para guru dalam pengelolaan administrasi sekolah berbasis microsoft excel di lingkungan mitra. Metode yang digunakan berupa metode pelatihan, pendampingan, dan diskusi. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan materi dan praktik oleh para guru dalam pengoperasiaan microsoft excel untuk pengelolaan administrasi sekolah. Pelatihan ini berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapat dukungan penuh dari pihak mitra. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakukan, keterampilan guru dalam pengelolaan administrasi sekolah menggunakan microsoft excel semakin baik.
Blast-off or rocket launcher is a physics phenomena about mechanical of motion specially momentum principal. Unlike other flying objects like blimps and airplanes, blass-off uses the principle of changing momentum as a driving force to able fly in the air. The definition of force is a rate of changing momentum, the definition is illustrated by first-order differential equation which can be solved analytically or numerically. Unfortunately, during class learning, the equation is only used to solve collision problems instead of being used to explain blast-off phenomena which is very interesting to learn mostly. Moreover, if the explanation in the class uses visual media such as Graphic User Interface (GUI). Blast-off simulation is designed from the solving of the first differential numerically, and then the algorithm is compiled using Matlab aplication with an output in the form of a GUI so students become more interested in learning momentum and learning effectiveness will be incrised.
Persamaan diferensial dapat menggambarkan beberapa fenomena yang terjadi di kehidupan baik di bidang geografi, biologi, ekonomi, teknik dan lainnnya, yang umumnya tergambarkan dalam persamaan diferensial biasa (PDB) terkhususnya orde satu. Implementasi pendekatan numerik pada persamaan diferensial seringkali digunakan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan tersebut secara efektif dan efisien. Pada penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk merancang Graphical User Interface (GUI) berbasis MATLAB yang dapat digunakan agar mempermudah siswa sebagai media alternatif pembelajaran atau praktisi dalam menganilisis hasil dari solusi PDB orde satu dengan metode numerik Runge-Kutta 2nd, Runge-Kutta 4th, Euler, dan Euler Modified. Metode tersebut digunakan karena bentuk numerikal yang sederhana namun cukup powerful dalam mencari solusi persamaan diferensial. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melalui empat tahapan, yakni studi literatur, perancangan GUI, perancangan sintak MATLAB yang sesuai dengan metode numerik yang digunakan, dan analisis kesesuain ketepatan hasil perhitungan numerik dan analisis.
