The article outlines the current issues of environmental security in the context of the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The purpose of the study is to assess the risks associated with environmental hazards in the context of the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The article provides an overview of implementations of the economic mechanism of environmental risk assessment and provides quantitative characteristics of integrated threat assessments that characterize the environmental security of the regions of Ukraine. According to the results of the assessment of the integral indicator of ecological danger, the regions of Ukraine are grouped according to the level of safety. Estimated values are identified according to the proposed numerical range of environmental risk values. The obtained results indicate that the regions of Ukraine differ in terms of the integral indicator of ecological danger. To assess the danger of anthropogenic impact on human and environmental safety, the following environmental safety risk assessments were calculated.
The mechanism of diagnosing the economic decisions making of business entities is developed and justified. Based on research of theoretical provisions, authors proved economic decision making is determining condition of economic activity and require delement of the process of realizing the physical impact on resources through the transformation of which such activityis carried out. Economic decisions are made directly by business entity that carries out the activity, independently conducts economic operations, enters into contractual, property and financial relations on its own behalf. The authors affirm that significant differences in the choice of criterion for justifying and evaluating activity of business entities are observed when choosing different time periods of analysis. On the basis of generalization of theoretical positions, authors distinguish by the period of coverage different time processes that relate to different cycles of activity of business entities: investment, production and the financial support cycle. The content and parameters of such cycles are conditioned by specifics of the production process, organizational and law and sectoral peculiarities of the activity of business entities and the range of tasks that are solved in the process of economic decisions making. With considering above assumptions, an economic and mathematical model is developed for tactical planning and justification of the sphere and directions of the economic formation activity to optimize return of available resources. The implementation of operations of the financial support cycle of economic formation, as authors claim, aims to cover current needs in financial resources for uninterrupted flow of
Motives: In recent years, the popularity of military tourism has increased considerably in Central and Eastern European countries, especially among tourists who have an interest in military history and technology. Due to the general scarcity of methods and studies examining alternative uses of former military bases, including coastal artillery bases, a reliable method for assessing the value of such sites for military tourism should be developed. The study presents the history of the analysed military bases, and it examines the extent to which the existing facilities could be converted into tourist attractions. An innovative method for evaluating the tourism potential of defunct military bases was proposed and verified, and the required changes for improving the accessibility and applicability of military facilities for educational and tourism purposes were described. Two former military sites in Koszalin coastal region were selected for the study. Aim: The main aim of the study was to propose an original method for assessing alternative uses of former coastal military bases, and to evaluate the educational and tourism potential of former military bases on the Koszalin Coast (a subregion of the South Baltic Coast) on the example of two former military facilities: Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division No. 68 in Łeba and Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division No. 66 in Naćmierz. Results: The results of the study indicate that the evaluated military sites have considerable tourism potential, in particular for tourists who have an interest in military history. An analysis of exogenous as well as endogenous (architectural and historical features) factors revealed that both sites could attract tourists, including visitors who are not strictly interested in military facilities. The assessment conducted using the proposed method demonstrated that the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division No. 68 in Łeba is characterised by high tourist attractiveness, whereas the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division No. 66 in Naćmierz is characterised by moderate tourist attractiveness.
The article develops and substantiates a methodological approach to modeling the results of innovative development of subjects of the regional business environment. The basic values of financial forecasting were indicators of the innovative potential of the business entity and indicators of the innovative attractiveness of the region. The system of indicators of innovation attractiveness of the region includes indicators of innovation activity of the region, social and economic indicators of regional development, indicators of innovative cooperation of the region, and indicators of international integration of the region. To assess the innovation potential of a business entity, such four levels of diagnostics are defined as: the potential of tangible assets; the potential of tangible assets in the form of working capital; the indicator of intellectual potential; the level of use of innovative potential. To substantiate the methodology for analyzing the innovative attractiveness of the region, software was developed in the database management system MS Access environment. Trends were identified by autocorrelation analysis and the foster-Stewart method, and the pair correlation approach was used with the sequential search of all parameters to find the relationship between the parameters. To achieve this goal, we will use the Pearson coefficient; various types of one-dimensional regression are used to increase the accuracy of the model. The forecast values calculated on the basis of modeling justified the existence of a close relationship between the expected economic results of the development of innovative cooperation in the region and the indicators of activation of entrepreneurial initiative. The results of modeling can be used as a basis for forming the policy of innovative development of the region. The results of modeling as well can be used in choosing strategic alternatives for innovative development of business entities.
