A well-recognized obstacle to efficient high-throughput analysis of cDNA libraries is the differential abundance of various transcripts in any particular cell type. Decreasing the prevalence of clones representing abundant transcripts before sequencing, using cDNA normalization, may significantly increase the efficacy of random sequencing and is essential for rare gene discovery. Duplex-specific nuclease (DSN) normalization allows the generation of normalized full-length-enriched cDNA libraries to permit a high gene discovery rate. The method is based on the unique properties of DSN from the Kamchatka crab and involves denaturation-reassociation of cDNA, degradation of the ds-fraction formed by abundant transcripts by DSN, and PCR amplification of the remaining ss-DNA fraction. The method has been evaluated in various plant and animal models.
The outcomes of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) were analyzed in 55 patients who were under the supervision of a physician – infectious within one year after the disease. This issue has been studied in more detail by the example of Hantaan virus infection in the Far East, the effects of Puumala infection aren’t well understood, vigilance among physicians concerning the formation of chronic kidney disease in patients is lacking. However, it is proved that the peculiarities of the clinical course of HFRS are caused by a specific serotype of the virus. It is revealed that the leading clinical manifestation in patients in early reconvalescence period of HFRS was astheno vegetative syndrome. Long-term prognosis of patients with HFRS, isn’t always favorable, it may be associated with prolonged disorders of the kidneys. Renal pathology includes lumbar – pain, eyelid swelling, dysuric phenomena, polyuria, nycturia, proteinuria, hematuria, cylindruria, reposotory. It is established that the disease is accompanied by a prolonged dysfunction of the nervous system, cardiovascular system, hepato-biliary system, this suggests the possibility of development of chronic pathology of different organs and the need for surveillance of HFRS patients, not only the infectious, but the nephrologist, cardiologist, neurologist.
In the late twentieth century a new concept of corporate culture emerged in the field of management theory, while practical studies of organizational performance has found, that success is directly related to creating appropriate corporate culture. As for this country, attention to corporate culture has been driven mostly by overall change in value system, taken place at the societal level, at the government level and at the level of individual organizations as well. Nurturing corporate culture within each higher educational institution has become urgent, due to crucial changes in the educational activities as s whole. Two factors, crucial to the success of a higher educational institution, are abilities to integrate all its internal resources and to adapt to its external environment. To become profitable and competitive, a higher educational institution should develop such key abilities, as flexibility and readiness to change itself. The major role of mission in the process of corporate culture shaping and nurturing, as well as functions, required for specific goals of a higher educational institution to be achieved, are considered in this paper as exemplified by the case of the Far Eastern Federal University. Objective hardships and problems, hampering the process of developing such unique body, as the Far-Eastern Scientific and Educational Center, are also highlighted.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
