The relevance of the problem is determined by the need to understand the further strategy of improving the training of physical education and sports specialists. The purpose of the article is to study the problem of correlation between the notions of "competence" and "professional skill" in the context of the formation of a specialist in the field of physical education and sports. The study of the relationship between the notions of "competence" and "professional skill" was conducted on the basis of an array of special literature on the competent approach to training of physical education and sports specialists, including more than 200 sources published in different countries. The article analyses negative trends in the content of training future specialists in the system of higher professional physical education based on a competence approach. The acmeculturological approach for improving the professional training of future specialists is proposed and tested, the stages of formation of professional skills of future specialists in the training process are presented. There is a need to focus on the identified features of professional training of young people to professions in the field of physical education and sports. The proposed system of professional training of future specialists of physical education and sports on acme-culturological bases directs teachers to improve the quality of training graduates in their future professional activities.
The aim: The paper aims at reviewing the recent studies on the impact of the Eastern mind-body practices on mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and methods: The recent studies (2020 – 2021) on the Eastern mind-body practices in combating the psychological impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic were identified in PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar. Research papers were found by using the keywords “mental health”, “psychological impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic”, “Eastern mind-body practices”, “meditation”, “mindfulness”, “yoga”, “tai chi”, “qigong”. A total of 27 selected publications were analyzed based on our criteria. Given the relatively small number of relevant articles in recent years, we also examined papers published before 2020. Along with the aforementioned, the authors used integrative anthropological approach and interpretive research paradigm. Conclusions: The Eastern mind-body practices are becoming increasingly popular, especially now when the outbreak of COVID-19 has created mental health concerns among the general population worldwide. They may prove an effective preventive or therapeutical intervention for mental health issues during and after the pandemic. However, the underlying mechanisms of these techniques are still insufficiently studied. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a well-planned study and interpret it from multiply perspectives involving an interdisciplinary team of specialists.
The aim: The revealing of the development of stress-related disorders in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM 2) to: identify the prevalence of stress-related disorders, particularly, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD); study the influence of psychosocial factors on the occurrence and course of stress-related disorders and increase the effectiveness of treatment in DM 2. Materials and methods: Research papers have been found by searching the PubMed database using the keywords ``ptsd and diabetes 2 type” with the result of 74 studies. Totally 25 of selected publications were analysed based on our criteria about the mechanisms through which the influence of psychosocial factors, permanent stressful or traumatic events on the probable risk of PTSD development and their analysis and relationships for the improvement of treatment effectiveness in DM 2 patients who have not been the veterans. Conclusions: Given the complex neurophysiological relationships between the long-term stress and pathophysiological mechanisms of DM 2 — this group of patients has the higher risk of developing stress-related disorders, including PTSD.
The present paper explores personal identity linguistic indicators detected in The Road Past Altamont by Gabrielle Roy. Works by this Canadian writer, public personality, and significant figure in French Canadian literature are of interest to a broad audience today in Canada, where almost all her books have been translated into English, and abroad. Written in a fluid, spare style, they are distinguished by lively narration and a keen sense of observation. Her literature approaches the world and people with clear sight and compassion. The Road Past Altamont (1966) by Roy is one of the most original in Canada, as varied as it is cohesive. The novel is dedicated to the coverage of the autobiographical narrative, the peculiarities of the personal identity crisis for different age groups, the succession of generations. These existential problems are actualized in crisis life situations. Despite containing four independent texts, the Road Past Altamont, each of which tells a finished story, is not a collection of short stories but a novel-saga. Its genre is both fragmented and unified, and it has a flexible structure based on the concept of the human life course. The four stories in this novel are connected not only by the main character at different points in her life but also by the themes that explore the changes, ageing, and society’s relation to the elders. The study aims to single out verbal indicators of personal identity obtained from the second part, “The old man and the child” of the Roy’s novel and the music album of the same name, created on its basis in 2021. Among the main findings are the defining psycholinguistic markers of time and space in the discourse of “The old man and the child” that encompass personal identity cognitive component. Hence, it is possible to treat the transformation of identity in the modern world in terms of constructing “self” as a reflexive project - implementing an integral, biographical story being changed in a polyvariant context of choice.
