Peliyanan merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang kerap muncul di dalam sebuah novel. Pada novel Prancis berjudul Plateforme karya Michel Houellebecq, peliyanan tidak hanya terjadi di ruang publik seperti pada umumnya, namun juga pada ruang privat, yakni ruang seksual. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membahas bentuk-bentuk peliyanan pada ruang seksual yang terjadi di dalam novel Plateforme sehingga memisahkan Dunia Pertama dengan Dunia Ketiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi cerita. Aspek-aspek isi cerita yang dilihat difokuskan pada aspek-aspek peliyanan yang terdapat di dalam novel. Cara koleksi data dilakukan dengan menyeleksi kata, kalimat dan paragraf yang memuat aspek peliyanan tersebut. Data dimasukkan di dalam tabel data yang berisi aspek peliyanan secara umum. Data pada tabel data pertama yang terkumpul selanjutnya diidentifikasi dan dikategorisasi sesuai dengan bentuk peliyanannya masing-masing. Data yang telah dikategorisasi tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan didialogkan dengan konsep subaltern dari Gayatri C. Spivak. Analisis terhadap data menghasilkan temuan bahwa terjadi tiga bentuk peliyanan pada ruang seksual di dalam novel Plateforme. Tiga bentuk tersebut adalah pertama objektivikasi terhadap perempuan, kedua adalah pembungkaman suara perempuan dan ketiga adalah eksploitasi terhadap tubuh perempuan Dunia Ketiga. In a French novel titled Plateforme by Michel Houellebecq, othering is not only happening in the public space, but also in the very private space, the sexual or intimate space. This article attempts to describe and reveal the forms of othering in the sexual space of Plateforme that separates the First World from the Third World. This research uses the story content analysis as a method. The aspects of the stories are focussed on the othering process in the novel. The data are collected from the novel based on the wordings, sentences and paragraphes containing the othering aspects. The date are listed in the table that contains general aspects of othering process. The data collected are then categorized according to each form of othering. The categorized data are then analyzed using the subaltern theory of Gayatri C. Spivak. The result reveals three forms of othering in Plateforme. Those three forms of othering are objectification, silencing attempt through representation and the exploitation of Third World women’s body. French for tourism training especially for tourism practitians and homestay owners is a community service program carried out by French Literature program in Samiran Tourism Village, Selo, Boyolali. The program involved all the French Literature’s civitas academica, lecturers, students, administrative staff and the community of Samiran. This program aims to practice practical French for tourism and to translate the tourism village website into French for expanding the marketing network for francophone community. In the future, this program can be expected to increase the welfare of the community by the presence of foreign tourists especially from francophone countries.----------------------------------------------------------------Program pembelajaran bahasa Prancis bagi pelaku pariwisata merupakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Program Studi Sastra Prancis FIB UGM di Desa Samiran, Kecamatan Selo, Kabupaten Boyolali. Kegiatan ini melibatkan civitas academica, yaitu dosen, mahasiswa, dan staf administrasi di lingkungan Prodi Sastra Prancis dan masyarakat Desa Samiran, Kecamatan Selo, Boyolali. Kegiatan ini bertujuan melatih bahasa Prancis praktis bagi pelaku pariwisata dan penerjemahan website desa wisata ke dalam bahasa Prancis untuk memperluas jaringan pemasaran bagi masyarakat francophone. Kegiatan ini ke depan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa tersebut dengan hadirnya wisatawan mancanegara, terutama dari negara-negara francophone.
The problem of sexual violence has become a sensitive issue that has attracted the attention of various groups of people. In addition, this action classifies as a criminal act that causes physical and psychological harm. Sexual violence happens not only to women's groups but also to subordinated minority groups in society, such as the LGBTQ+ group. In early 2021, to be precise, in France, a student and student activist experienced sexual aggression by a politician from one of the dominant political parties there. He tried to seek justice by making testimony through his Twitter account. Unexpectedly, his testimony uttered various reactions related to the social reality of society. This article aims to explore and analyze the social context and speech response patterns that represent that context. Multiple stories of netizens' responses to testimonies of sexual violence uploaded by the @TT_Guillaume account that occurred in 2018 became the object of the study of this article. In writing the article, the method used is reading all the responses in the reply section, recording all the answers found. Moreover, the next step is classifying dan analyzing the data found, which is associated with Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory. The research discovers that the social context of Guillaume's utterances was related to sexual violence in institutions in France and influenced the presence of other testimonies. In addition, patterns that represent these social conditions were also found
Community engagement, in tri dharma, is a dharma that is directly related to society. Department of French Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada carry out a community engagement program by conducting a French language training for employees in Kampung Homestay, Dusun Ngaran II, Borobudur Village. Tis training is delivered by tutorial system using communicative method. Expected result of this training is that the homestay employees can communicate in French with simple structures and phrases. In addition, Department of French Literature also helps the homestay to promote itself through a website or brochure in French, so that French-speaking foreign tourists can get to know this village better. Tis activity also produces teaching materials and videos of French-language tourism based on local cultures.
