Background: The risk of falling is one aspect that needs to be studied in patient safety, especially for patients who have a risk of falling due to weakness or the effects of therapy. It can cause injury, increasing the patient’s long of stay, and patient’s treatment fees. The other effects of this are physical injury including scratch, torn, bruised even it can cause fracture, bleeding and head injury. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of providing audiovisual animation education as an increase in knowledge of efforts to prevent falls in patients in hospitals. Methods: This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with a one group pretest posttest approach without a control group. The research was conducted at Gambiran Hospital. The sampling technique used a purposive sample technique, namely by determining certain criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire sheet, bivariate analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS.Results: Based on the results of statistical tests, it is known that the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that H1 is accepted, it can be concluded that audiovisual animation education is effective as an effort to prevent the risk of falling in patients in the hospital. Conclusion: Animated audiovisual education is very effective to increase respondent’s knowledge in preventing patient fall. With the guaranteed patient safety it will affect patient’s recovery. The guaranteed patient safety can not be separated from the hospital monitoring and family caring to avoid from various risks than can be occured, one of this risk is risk of patient fall. This audiovisual methods is a good method to increase knowledge, because this method involve more sense in learning process, both sense of sight and sense of hearing.
Background: Organizational change is the embodiment of changing organizational environments, structures, cultures, technologies, or people. Changes are planned to make the organization more effective and efficient, but there is still resistance from members of the organization. Negative reactions arise because changes provide pressure, stress, and uncertainty for employees. The goal in the study was to analyze employees' perceptions of commitment, readiness, and resistance during times of change to the implementation of the "MARMER" program. Subjects and Method:The study was conducted at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. The selected hospital organization is a hospital that has a program preventing antimicrobial resistance through restriction efficiency (MARMER) for the control of antibiotic resistance. Research design uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study is all health workers at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. Data collection through questionnaires. Multivariate data analysis using SEM with SmartPLS. Results: Commitment to change has a significant direct influence on the readiness for change (t-values= 9.95 > 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= 0.53). Commitment to change does not significantly affect change resistance (t-values = 1.22< 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= 0.13). Readiness for change has a negative effect on change resistance (t-values= -5.30 >1.96; Standard Coefficiency= -0.60). Commitment to change negatively and significantly affects resistance to change through readiness to change (t-values = -4.24 > 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= -0.36). Conclusion: Commitment directly affects the readiness of change. Commitment and readiness affect the resistance of change. Commitment has a significant effect on resistance through readiness for change.
Bacground: Compliance of nurses in implementing a fixed procedure of nursing actions, including hand washing procedures, became one of the determinants of the success of prevention of nosocomial infections. Noncompliance of nurses in hand washing may lead to an increase in the incidence of phlebitis. Pupose: The influence of nurse compliance in hand washing of phlebitis incidence rate in Graha Hita Husada Room Dr Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. Method: The design of this study was observational with cross-sectional design with population All the nurses in Graha Hita Room Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital number of 54 nurses. The sample is part of population that is 48 respondents with sampling technique by Simple random sampling. The data that have been collected is processed by Linear Regression statistic test with significance α = 0,05. Result: The results showed that most of the respondents had compliance with handwashing compliance, ie 38 respondents (79.2%) and most of the respondents did not experience phlebitis incidence, ie 34 respondents (70.8%). Result of analysis of Linear Regression test got value p-value = 0,000 (<0,05) with value of R Square 0,639 which means reject H0 and accept H1 so that there is relation of nurse compliance in hand washing with number of phlebitis incident in Graha Hita Husada Room dr Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. Conclusion: From the results of this study prove the compliance of nurses in hand washing by applying six steps of hand washing and five moments hand washing correctly and accurately able to prevent the incidence of phlebitis
Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) is a scoring system for early detection or early warning to detect a worsening of the condition of pediatric patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between compliance with PEWS implementation with response time and patient safety at RSIA Muhammadiyah Probolinggo City. This research design uses correlation analytic with cross-sectional observation approach. The population in this study were all nurses at RSIA Muhammadiyah Probolinggo City. The sample in this study were 32 people. With the technique of probability sampling-random sampling. Data processing used chi square test. Compliance with PEWS implementation showed that most of them adhered to the application of PEWS as much as 25 (78%), response time obtained results that most were fast 25 (78%) and adhered to patient safety by 25 (78%). The analysis test uses the chi square test.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
