This study was aimed to determine the effect of parental emotional coaching on the improvement of the parenting style and parents’ acceptances towards their deaf children. The population of this study was parents who have deaf children at Special Primary School B 'X' Surabaya. There were 9 subjects involved in this study. This study employed an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using parenting style and parent’s acceptance scales and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result shows that the value of Z = -2,668 with the asymp value of sig = 0.008 (p <0.05). It can be concluded from the result that parental emotional coaching training increases positive parenting style and parents’ acceptances towards their deaf children. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attachment, namely the attachment of the father and the attachment of the mother to the ability of self-control in early adolescence. The population of this study was early adolescents with an age range of 12-15 years as many as 104 adolescents. Samples were taken using the total sampling method for students of SMP "X" in Surabaya. There are two scales in this study, namely: IPPA-R (Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised) and SCS (Self-Control Scale). The data analysis technique used regression test with the help of SPPS 21. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant and positive relationship between parental attachment and self-control ability, which means that the higher the parental attachment, the higher the self-control ability. Father's attachment contributed 63.3% relative to self-control, while mother's attachment contributed36.7% relative to self-control where father's attachment had a greater influence on early adolescent self-control ability than attachment to mother.
Masa remaja merupakan masa storm and stress, karena remaja mengalami banyak tantangan baik dari diri mereka sendiri ataupun lingkungan. Apabila mereka tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan tersebut, mereka dapat berakhir pada berbagai masalah salah satunya adalah masalah kesehatan. Berdasarkan hasil Survei Kesehatan Berbasis Sekolah di Indonesia tahun 2015 (GSHS) diketahui bahwa sebanyak 41,8% laki-laki dan 4,1% perempuan mengaku pernah merokok. Data yang sama juga menunjukkan 14,4% laki-laki dan 5,6% perempuan pernah mengkonsumsi alkohol. Gambaran faktor risiko kesehatan lainnya adalah didapatkan 8,26% pelajar laki-laki dan 4,17% pelajar perempuan usia 12-18 tahun pernah melakukan hubungan seksual. Character building merupakan suatu upaya untuk membangun dan membentuk akhlak dan budi pekerti seseorang menjadi baik. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mempunyai tujuan unutuk mengembangkan kemampuan remaja dalam upaya membangun karakter positif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan dua metode yaitu dengan pemberian materi Character Building dan praktik. Setelah dilakukan pemberian pelatihan tentang Character Building dan praktik, kader mampu memahami dan melakukan apa yang dicontohkan oleh pemateri. Kegiatan ini membuat kader posyanadu remaja memahami akan pentingnya membangun karakter positif pada diri.
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between psychological well being and prosocial behavior. This research was conducted in West Surabaya, with the research subjects were 100 early adult individuals. The sampling technique used in this study was incidental sampling. The data collection tool was in the form of a questionnaire in the form of google form consisting of 41 items of psychological well being statements and 47 items of prosocial behavior statements. Data analysis was performed using Pearson's product moment correlation statistical technique, with the help of SPSS for Windows Ver 2.1. From the results of the research analysis, the correlation value between psychological well being and prosocial behavior was 0.517 and p was 0.197 with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Compared with the significance level of 0.05 (5%), the sig (2-tailed) value is smaller, which means that there is a relationship between psychological well being (X) and prosocial behavior (Y) in early adult individuals in West Surabaya.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari Psychological meaningfulness dalam melihat work engagement pada karyawati call center PT. XYZ. Laju turn over pada suatu perusahaan akan menjadi suatu perhatian khusus, terutama karyawan yang berjenis kelamin perempuan, karena akan berkaitan dengan kepribadian dan kodrat menjadi sebagai seorang ibu. Perusahaan tentunya menginginkan angka turn over sekecil mungkin agar dapat menekan anggaran proses rekrutmen dan training. Keterikatan dalam bekerja sangat diperlukan, agar karyawan benar-benar dapat menikmati dan tenggelam dalam pekerjaannya dan dapat meningkatkan performa dalam bekerja. Apabila karyawan telah memiliki kesesuaian dengan pekerjaan maka ia akan memaknai pekerjaan secara psikologis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik sampling purposive. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji regresi sederhana dengan bantuan software SPSS 20. Diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,03 < 0,05, yang artinya ada pengaruh psychological meaningfulness terhadap work engagement pada karyawati call center PT. XYZ.
