<pre>This study aims to prove the influence of independent learning and attention of </pre><pre>parents towards mathematics achievement. The method used in this research is</pre><pre> the analysis method using correlational survey. Samples were obtained by using</pre><pre> simple random sampling technique as many as 90 students of class VIII SMP</pre><pre> Private Setiabudi sub-district. The data collection is done with using questionnaires </pre><pre>and written tests. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20 is composed of a </pre><pre>descriptive analysis, test data analysis requirements, and hypothesis testing. </pre><pre>Test requirements analysis of the data used, the normality test, linearity and </pre><pre>multicollinearity test. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that: (1) There is a significant positive effect on the independence of learning mathematics achievement; (2) There is a significant positive effect of parental attention to mathematics achievement; and (3) There is a significant positive effect between learning independence and parental supervision of mathematics achievement. Large donations learning independence and parental supervision of mathematics achievement of 45.3% of the remaining 54.7% was contributed by the other variables in addition to independent learning and attention from their parents.</pre><p> <strong>Keywords: </strong>Independence Learning, Attention Parents, Learning Achievement in Mathematics.</p><pre> </pre>
Kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep yang diberikan serta mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi apa yang diketahui dan apa yang akan dibuktikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman matematis mahasiswa dalam matakuliah teori bilangan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian kemampuan pemahaman matematis dari dua indikotor penelitian yaitu kemampuan pemahaman konseptual dan kemampuan pemahaman fungsional, sebagian besar mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal pemahaman. Sebanyak 77% dari sampel penelitian belum paham cara menyelesaikan soal. Berdasarkan data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa belum dapat mengoptimalkan seluruh kemampuan terutama kemampuan pemahaman matematisnya dalam mengerjakan soal teori bilangan sehingga cenderung menyerah dalam mengerjakan soal ketika mengalami kesulitan. Sebanyak 23% sampel sudah mengerti cara menyelesaikan namun masih beberapa yang kurang tepat dalam langkah penyelesaiannya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah lemahnya pemahaman dalam membedakan bilangan rasional dengan irasional beserta definisi dan sifat-sifatmya (materi prasyarat).
ABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan mengatasi masalah yang dialami oleh guru di lingkungan Kelompok Kerja Madrasah Ibtidiyah Kecamatan Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan, yaitu kesulitan guru dalam menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa untuk mempelajari matematika karena kurang menguasai metode, model, pendekatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan inovatif. Salah satunya dengan permainan ular tangga sebagai inovasi pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Sekolah Dasar. Ular tangga adalah salah satu permainan tradisional dimana papan permainan ular tangga terdiri dari kotak-kotak kecil yang sudah diberi nomor dan beberapa gambar seperti tangga dan ular, yang dapat menghubungkan kotak satu ke kotak yang lainnya. Permainan ular tangga dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa peraturannya serta bidang permainannya sebagai inovasi pendekatan pembelajaran matematika yang menyenangkan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 48 orang perwakilan guru MI se-Kecamatan Jagakarsa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengan melakukan penjelasan mengenai apa manfaat pendekatan permainan ular tangga serta bagaimana cara pemanfaatannya dan hubungannya dengan matematika, pengenalan permainan tradisional itu sendiri kemudian dilanjutkan pada implementasi permainan ular tangga, hingga membuat soal-soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan materi matematika menggunakan pendekatan permainan ular tangga. Luaran yang didapat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu guru MI se-Jagakarsa dapat menerapkan pengetahuan yang didapat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini kepada siswa. Snakes and ladders game rules modified in such a way as well as areas of the game as an innovative approach to learning math fun. This service activities attended by 48 representatives of teachers MI se Jagakarsa. The method of this activity by doingan explanation of what the benefits of snakes and ladders to approach the game and how its use and its relationship with math, introduction to traditional games itself and then proceed to the implementation of the game of snakes and ladders, to create math problems relating to the material using a mathematical approach to the game of snakes and ladders. Outcomes obtained from these service activities, namely MI se-Jagakarsa teacher can apply the knowledge gained from this service activities to the students. Mathematics has an important role as aspects of the formation of attitude. Learning mathematics through games traditionally can be used by teachers in carrying out his duty to deliver the material and help the formation of attitudes of the participants his protégé. The activities of this devotion is expected to foster a positive attitude to the students in learning and can change the way the student's point of view towards mathematical subjects. Many traditional games that can be associated with a matter of mathematics. Among them are congkak, engklek, and the bead seats. Through learning with traditional games, students are expected to be more eager to learn math materials. This outreach activity is carried out in SD Negeri Middle 05 Morning located at Jalan Pelita Kingdom RT. 003/RW. 09 Kampung Tengah, East Jakarta. Participants in the activities of the public service this is the teachers and students of SDN 05 Middle morning. The method of implementation of these activities include: observation, documentation, discussion, demonstration, and practice. Activities done with information sharing with teachers of mathematics on alternative delivery and presentation of material that is interesting and fun, one of them using traditional games media-based mathematics. After that describes the media and how to use the Groove provided and any math concepts that fit with the game. In addition to increasing the motivation of children in learning math, the benefits of traditional game among others can develop intellectual intelligence, train motor capabilities, developing emotional intelligence as well as enhance the ability socialize
The purpose of this research is to show the effect of teaching story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy on mathematical problem-solving skill. The research uses an experiment method with Randomized Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The sample includes 60 eight-grade students selected through simple random sampling. Data are analyzed by applying t-test to test mean difference previously analyzed using descriptive statistics and data requirements analyses. The normality test uses chisquare test, while the homogeneity test uses Fisher's exact test. Hypothesis test shows tobserved of 6.55 and ttable of 2.00, meaning that Ho is rejected. The results show that mathematical problem-solving skill of students taught story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy is better than those taught using solo taxonomy. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of teaching story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy on mathematical problem-solving skill of students.
