The purpose of this research is to show the effect of teaching story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy on mathematical problem-solving skill. The research uses an experiment method with Randomized Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The sample includes 60 eight-grade students selected through simple random sampling. Data are analyzed by applying t-test to test mean difference previously analyzed using descriptive statistics and data requirements analyses. The normality test uses chisquare test, while the homogeneity test uses Fisher's exact test. Hypothesis test shows tobserved of 6.55 and ttable of 2.00, meaning that Ho is rejected. The results show that mathematical problem-solving skill of students taught story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy is better than those taught using solo taxonomy. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of teaching story problems using revised Bloom's taxonomy on mathematical problem-solving skill of students.
Understanding or comprehension is the ability of a person to fully understand something based on the situation, concept, and facts he has. Understanding is knowledge achieved through the process of understanding something. The level of understanding depends on the appropriate existing ideas and the establishment of new relationships between ideas. In mathematics, increasing understanding of concepts can be done using the PMRI learning model. Therefore, teachers must find a realistic problem related to learning materials and students’ daily life. This research aims to find out the effect of a learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts. The research is an experimental study with samples of 60 testees. The hypothesis testing technique used is a one-way t test which consists of one independent variable, which is the learning model, and one dependent variable, which is the understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is carried out in Central Jakarta Public Senior High School, DKI Jakarta in 2015. From the research results, it can be concluded that there is an insignificant effect of a learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts
The development of GeoGebra media is a technology contribution to the education's world, especially mathematics. The use of GeoGebra media and its association with egrang game aim to instill the concept of parallelism, perpendicularity, crossing, and slope of the line. This study aims to see how the students mathematics understanding ability is and whether the enhancement of it by using Geogebra media is better than ordinary learning. The samples were students in grade VIII at SMPN 1 Cibinong in 2019/2020. The number of samples is 60 students. This research is a quasi-experimental research design with a non–equivalent control group. The instrument was a test (pretest and posttest) to see the n gain of understanding ability. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results are students mathematics understanding ability with Geogebra is not better than without Geogebra and the enhancement of it by using Geogebra media is better than without Geogebra media at SMPN 1 Cibinong in 2019/2020. Keywords: GeoGebra Media, Ethnomathematics, Understanding Ability
PKM activities are carried out to improve the literacy of SMK Bhakti Idhata teachers' learning strategies, especially when blended learning is used.As is well known, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the face of education in Indonesia in a relatively short time. The learning system, was originally carried out face-to-face, changed to online and then to a combination of online and offline. It is called blended learning. The extreme change made the teachers confused in choosing which methods and strategies should be applied. This PKM activity was carried out in 3 stages, namely the initial stage in the form of a survey and preparation, the core stage in the form of activity implementation, and the final stage in the form of evaluation. The training is delivered online and focuses on introducing the flipped classroom as a blended learning strategy solution. As a result, this activity provides teachers with new experiences in using learning models in blended learning.
