In food industry, cold storage is a must. The main objective of this kind of storage is to preserving the raw foods within for a certain period of time. But, for lack of technology and ignorance about humidity and temperature effect on raw foods; many times, food safety is not maintained well enough. In this paper, the basic objective of this research is to mitigate the man monitoring and to develop an internet based real time monitoring of temperature and humidity using the very available DHT-11 sensor and ESP-8266 NodeMCU module. This paper also makes compact distinctions between conventional and the IoT based monitoring system of food storages.
Background & Objective:
In this paper, environmental monitoring system is implemented
using a wireless sensor networking (WSN) via a local internet protocol (IP) utilizing Wi-Fi media.
For enchanting data, DHT-11 (Temperature and Humidity sensor) and MQ-6 (LPG gas sensor) are
being used.
Methods:
The basic objective of this research is to monitor and to develop a real-time monitoring of
humidity and temperature, as well as the availability of gas using the very available DHT-11 sensor,
MQ-6 sensor, and ESP-8266 NodeMCU module and then observe the data from a local IP based
webpage.
Conclusion:
This paper also makes a compact distinction between conventional and the local IP
based observing system of an environment. The sensor's data are saved in an IP based webpage by
which we can monitor the sensor’s data without any access to the internet.
Abstract-Nowadays electricity is the prime source of energy around the world for domestic and industrial applications. Our lifestyle revolves around electrical appliances and devices which make it a core necessity. However there is a shortage of this very important source of energy, especially in country like Pakistan where the overall life and building pattern is highly energy inefficient. Furthermore, energy prices soar due to different reasons; more building owners and operators are turning to energy management to reduce their overall operating costs by using efficient and reliable energy management systems and techniques. Generally this is achieved by improving the energy efficiency of building systems and energy conservation. In this paper, an active node based wireless network is proposed and implemented for energy management in a typical Pakistani environment. The proposed system is primarily based on the assumptions that most of the energy is wasted unintentionally in domestic applications and industrial processes.Index Terms-Energy efficiency, energy management, wireless sensor network.
With the increasing demand of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) innovations, it cuts numerous zones mobile communication, cloud computing and embedded system in modern living. Inter-net of Things (IoT) is widely used in environmental condition monitoring, logistic support and interfacing sensors and actuators wirelessly, which can be controlled from very long distance. This offers the capacity to control the world from a corner of a room. Wherein sensors and actuators operate reliably with the help of IoT. Wireless data transmission that uses Radio Frequency (RF) has major technical burdens and security vulnerability. The IoT replaced RF as it provides secure transmission capabilities. In this paper, we exhibit a technical overview of WSNs and IoT especially their drawbacks and challenges. Additionally, this paper discusses the progress of the WSNs and IoT innovation.
