In Islamic law, al-syuf’ah affords the co-proprietors of undivided shares in a property the preferential right to purchase the shares of other co- proprietors before the shares can be offered to outsiders. In the context of Malaysian land law, the study on al-syuf’ah has its own significance as it is closely related to the concept of co-proprietorship of land (CPL) under the National Land Code, 1965 (NLC). It is well known that many issues are confronting the CPL. Most of the problems accrue from unhealthy relationships among the owners which then develop into developmental and economical aspects of the land. On the above facts, this study examines the potential of al-syuf’ah in addressing these problems as well as the possibility of employing the rules of al-syuf’ah alongside the country’s land law. To undertake the research, the data is collected from the library-based literature which then analysed using inductive, deductive as well as comparative methods. The study finds that there are leeways that allow for the implementation of the rules of al-syuf’ah alongside the existing land law. The rules of al-syuf’ah if implemented would be able to solve some of the existing problems and to prevent the problems from recurring in the future.
Mental health issues are frequently ignored and overlooked by society because they cannot be physically expressed. Furthermore, this perception has long been entrenched in the Malaysian society as the stigma against individuals who suffer from this problem remains at the same level even though awareness about mental health issues has spread significantly. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence and psychological well-being among counseling clients in one of the government agencies in Pahang, Malaysia, during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 157 counseling clients answered the questionnaire. SmartPLS was used to evaluate the data content of the questionnaire and test the research hypotheses. The results of the analysis yielded several significant findings. First, there was a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence (i.e., self-awareness, social awareness and emotional receptivity) and spiritual intelligence. Second, there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. Third, there is a positive and significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and psychological well-being. Fourth, there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence and psychological well-being. The findings of this study confirmed the important role of spiritual intelligence as a mediating variable in the relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. Furthermore, the findings of this study can be used as essential recommendations to help practitioners understand the diversity of perspectives on the construct of emotional intelligence and develop a spiritual intelligence management plan in counseling sessions to help those with mental issues achieve and maintain their emotional wellbeing in daily life.
Recently, A growing number of educators and researchers are interested in online learning as a way to improve student results and knowledge in higher education. Considering the efficiency of online learning in comparison to face-to-face learning and the elements that determine the success of online courses is essential for academics and educators. Hence, this study specifically aims to build a learning model based on Islamic need. This study uses the Design and development research (DDR) approach. There are two phases of the study, the first phase is the model construction phase using the Fuzzy Delphi method. While the second phase of the model evaluation phase uses the Nominal Group Technique method. The respondents involved for both phases of the study were among the skilled experts who had been selected by the researcher based on certain criteria. The findings of this study specifically suggest a simple model called net-learning model based on islamic need. Conclusions and recommendations for further study are proposed at the end of the study.
