According to the observation of schools in Indonesia, the quadratic function graph is a lesson for junior high school students. For it is an abstract concept, students have difficulties to understand and picture out the graph functions. The main purpose of this research is to design a learning media to improve students’ learning achievement by using hawgent dynamic mathematic software. The method of this research is research and development method. The target audience of this research were 32 students in experimental class and 32 students in controlled class. The result of this research is the material expert, research and media experts obtaining “valid” criteria. This means that the software is better than traditional teaching methods as students are able to easily visualise and generalise the graphical form of the quadratic equation. This automatically increases student’s learning achievement and makes them find math interesting.
Background:Dementia, even more than cancer, demands long-term care. While in Indonesia cancer is accepted as a disease requiring caregiving, dementia is still considered "a normal condition." These differences might affect the experiences of caregivers, especially those relating to social health, the subject of our study. We aim to describe and compare the lived experiences of family caregivers of patients with cancer (PWC) with those of patients with dementia (PWD) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and to explore the role of their social health in these experiences.Method:A qualitative design was applied. In-depth face-to-face interviews were conducted with PWC and PWD caregivers in two outpatient clinics of a tertiary hospital. The constant comparative method was applied to analyze the data that were interpreted using the concept of social health to explore the experiences of the caregivers. We used Atlas.ti software.Results:Three themes were identified: problems with caregiving, dealing with problems, and beliefs in caregiving. We found more similarities than differences in the experiences of caregivers in both groups. Half of the categories were related to social health: challenges, consequences, hiding, social support, and the caregiver's approach. The organization of dementia care is characterized by simplicity and direct ties between medical specialists, PWD, and caregivers, whereas cancer care encounters coordination problems.Conclusions:Family caregivers of both groups mostly had similar experiences of the caregiving process. Gaining a better understanding of the specific experiences of caregivers, and their social health, opens new avenues for interventions to improve their quality of life.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa lembar kerja siswa (LKS) kleas X SMA. LKS yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan oleh siswa sebagai alat bantu untuk memahami materi yang dipelajari. LKS juga sebagai sumber materi yang dapat membantu siswa belajar mandiri, sehingga siswa tidak tergantung dengan kehadiran guru di kelas. Subjek penelitian yang diambil yaitu siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Salo tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 pada semester genap dengan materi trigonomtri. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data tentang perangkat dan bahan ajar pembelajaran, kebutuhan akan bahan ajar pembelajaran, dan analisis kekurangan bahan ajar yang digunakan serta nantinya menjadi bahan kajian dalam pengembangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan maka dapat dikemukakan simpulan penelitian yaitu LKS yang dikembangkan dengan materi trigonometri dikembangkan sesuai dengan standar kompetensi dan kompetensi dasar. Materi yang disajikan pada LKS sangat menuntun siswa untuk melakukan kegiatan. LKS yang dikembangkan dengan materi trigonometri sangat layak sebagai media pembelajaran. LKS yang dikembangkan dengan materi trigonomeri efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil belajar siswa jadi meningkat dari pelajaran sebelumnya, tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal siswa juga meningkat dari materi sebelumnya. LKS yang dikembangkan dibuat untuk siswa agar belajar lebih aktif dan bekerja sama dengan teman sekelompoknya. Di dalam LKS disajikan beberapa kegiatan dan juga disajikan materi agar bisa belajar secara berdiskusi. Jika siswa terdapat kesulitan guru siap memabantu siswa. Hal ini yang membuat siswa lebih mengerti dan pembelajaran lebih bertahan lama dalam ingatan siswa

Principals as leaders of educational institutions should be responsible for all school / madrasah activities. He has full authority and responsibility to conduct all educational activities including supervision activities, both academic supervision and managerial supervision within the school / madrasah he leads. An anthocyanin color pigment result from butterfly pea flower maceration has been done. This study aims to determine the effect of time variation in the maceration of anthocyanin butterfly pea flower extract and the stability of butterfly pea flower extract as an indicator of acid-base titration. Color pigment levels were determined quantitatively with a UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The anthocyanin levels obtained during the duration of maceration 5 days in a row resulted from 4.3915%, 5.9869%, 7.3970%, 8.8995%, and 10.2864%. While the anthocyanin levels using a differential pH method were 14.2775 mg/L and 14.9455 mg/L with % RPD value was 4.57%. The results of the study stated that the indicators of the butterfly pea flower crown extract can be a substitute for the synthetic phenolphthalein indicator that has been used.
