Feng shui was a part of the cultural heritage of ancient Chinese society mainly used to design buildings and spaces according to the birth date or the basic elements of the owner or the person who occupied a building to achieve harmony and balance with the environment aimed to bring peace and prosperity. Feng shui practices had become a matter of debate among Christians. The question was whether feng shui practices such as calculations in building construction, determining the direction a tomb should face, or finding a date to start a business did not conflict with God's Word. From a non-theological point of view, feng shui was well accepted because it seemed reasonable. This article discussed feng shui from a theological perspective by referring to Colossians 2:8. In the research of this article, the researchers used a qualitative descriptive method with an exposition approach where data collection was obtained from literature studies and interviews. The results of the discussion on this topic showed that theologians concurred that feng shui did not correspond with God's Word, while the Bible interpreted feng shui as a false philosophy. The conclusion drawn was the rejection of feng shui practices by theologians and the Bible.
The world's demands for publication in accredited journals and international journals require articles to be written using the Mendeley application. However, the use of the Mendeley application in writing articles is still not fully understood by students. Among the groups who did not understand were the postgraduate students of the Anugrah Indonesia Theological College (STTAI). Writing references in scientific works as well as in the work of assignments, is still done manually. On that basis, this topic was written by researchers to explain about Mendeley Desktop as well as provide mentoring training in using Mendeley Desktop and Mendeley Web Importer. This mentoring training was conducted for 40 STTAI postgraduate students for four weeks online with a duration of two and a half to three hours. As a result of this mentoring training on the use of Mendeley Desktop, STTAI postgraduate students know and are proficient in Mendeley Desktop. After training, students can use Mendeley in writing references for every lecture assignment and writing articles or thesis or dissertation proposals. This shows that the mentoring training for using Mendeley Desktop has achieved satisfactory results as expected. A strong church needs a strong leader who is ready to face challenges and solve problems. However, when regeneration occurs, there is often turmoil because the new leader does not have the ability to lead or continue the baton of leadership. This can be caused by the insufficient mentoring so the new leader has not been ready to lead. How should the mentoring be carried out? What things need to be prepared? In this paper, the author used a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach to find out how effective mentoring should be carried out using Paul's role model in preparing Timothy to become the leader of the congregation. The results of this study show that mentoring is indispensable in a church organization to get reliable leaders.
