This research discusses expressions of apology in Japanese by Javanese and Sundanese speakers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The apology differs between Japanese and Indonesian. Apologizing to the Japanese uses many reasons, the Japanese may distrust the speech partner and cause misunderstanding. In learning Japanese, Javanese-speaking learners are different from Sundanese-speaking learners because their culture also influences them. This research aims to determine the strategy of apology expression by Japanese language learners who speak Javanese and Sundanese as seen from the semantic formula and the differences between the two. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to describe the strategy of apologizing in Japanese by Javanese and Sundanese mother tongue learners using semantic formulas. Respondents were UMY students from level 2 and level 3 PBJ Study Program with 15 Javanese speaking students and 15 Sundanese speaking students. This research showed that most Japanese learners who speak Javanese and Sundanese tended to use the Speech Act Indication Expression (apology and appreciation) when expressing Japanese apologies. They used polite language ultimately when apologizing to lecturers.
Dalam mempelajari Bahasa Jepang pembelajaran huruf Kanji merupakan salah satu hal yang paling sulit. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode dalam mempelajarinya. Telah banyak penelitian mengenai metode pembelajaran huruf kanji. Tapi, isu mengenai huruf kanji masih merupakan isu yang layak untuk diteliti berhubung masih banyak keterbatasan dan hal yang perlu dikembangkan dari metode sebelumnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan Student-Centered Learning (SCL) Metode cerita dalam pembelajaran huruf kanji level menengah. Metode yang digunakan kuantitatif eksperimental dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 22 partisipan. Hasil yang setelah dilakukan perlakuan dengan metode cerita selama enam kali. Menunjukan bahwa metode cerita efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan terhadap kanji level menengah.
The study is interested in finding a correlation between motivation and study habits with Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3. Students of the Japanese Language Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 4th Grade the academic year 2018-2019. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational approach. The research variables were Motivation (X1), study habits (X2), and the results of JLPT N3 (Y). The sample was 20 students determined by the non-probability sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and document analysis. The questionnaire assessed motivation and study habits and documents to determine the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3. Data analysis used multiple correlation analysis with the help of SPSS Statistics version 23. In the final results of calculations with various correlation analyses, Ha was rejected. There was no correlation between Motivation (X1) and study habits (X2) with Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3 (Y) in 4thgrade students of Japanese Language Department UMY, 2018-2019. The known F value is 0.543
