[Title: The Effect of a Talking Stick Learning Model on Student Learning Activities]. A fun learning environment, active and meaningful for students need to be created by applying active learning model for students that learning model talking stick. This type of research is quasi-experimental. This research aimed to know there is or no effect of talking stick learning model toward students learning activeness. This research implemented in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Mataram in academic year 2015/2016 from March to April 2016. The technique of sample using cluster random sampling, in order to obtain first-class VIII I totalling 30 students as an experimental class and class VIII E totalling 30 students as the control class. The results of this research are students activeness learning showed by using the instrument is activeness of student learning questionnaire. Based on data analysis showed that t-test was 8.28 and t- table was 2.000 (df = 58). So, t-test > t-table (8.28 > 2.000). This means that there is an effect of talking stick learning model toward students learning activeness.
E-learning is learning process through electronic media, especially the internet. E-learning enables students to learn or possess science no matter when and where. The purpose of this study was to develop Moodle in problem-based learning in order to improve learners' comprehension of wave concepts. The study was a research and development (R&D) conducted in four stages, i.e. preliminary study, developing the design, testing Moodle as media for problem-based learning, and dissemination. Subjects of this study were students of physics education program of IKIP Mataram who enrolled wave course. Data on conceptual comprehension were collected through the test, in which experts had validated the test. The result showed improvement in students' comprehension on the concepts of wave. Moreover, students gave a positive response towards the use of Moodle developed as media in problem-based learning.
Title: The Effect of Scientific Approaches Toward Students' Critical Thinking Skills].This study aims to determine the influence of scientific approach toward the critical thinking skills of students. Indicator of critical thinking skills provides a simple explanation, build skills, conclude, provide further explanation, and set the strategies an tactics. Design in this study was quasi-experimental with posttest only control group design. The population of the study was all of the students class VII SMPN 16 Mataram. The samples of the study consist of two class, that was experiment and control, which is experiment class was taught using scientific approach and control class was taught using conventional methods. The instrument of the study was a description test of critical thinking skill. Data postest show the average of creative thinking skill in the experimental class is 72,32% categorized well while for the control class is equal to 62,67% categorized quite well. The analysis data found tcount 3,28 and ttable 1,67 (the significant level of 5%). The result shows that there was an effect of a scientific approach toward critical thinking skills of the students in vibration and waves material.
Title: Development of Flash Multimedia on Energy Materials to Improve Student Learning Motivation].This study aims to develop flash multimedia on energy materials to improve student learning motivation. This study is a development research with ADDIE model. Flash multimedia validation involves 2 validators (media experts and media design experts). Validation results show on the aspect of the material with a score of 3.6 with the category "high validity" and the media aspect with a score of 3.4 with the category "high validity". The flash multimedia implementation (trial run) conducted on the 28 students of grade VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Lenangguar, Sumbawa. The results of the implementation showed the students 'motivation before using flash media with the average score of 2.47 with the category "less agree", and after using flash media with average score 3.41 with category "very agree". So it show an increase of student learning motivation. Hasil validasi menunjukkan pada aspek materi dengan skor 3,6 dengan katagori "sangat valid" dan aspek media dengan skor 3,4 dengan katagori "sangat valid". Implementasi mulitimedia flash (uji coba) dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Lenangguar Kabupaten Sumbawa. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan motivasi siswa sebelum menggunakan media flash dengan skor rata-rata 2,47 berkatagori "kurang setuju", dan setelah menggunakan media flash dengan skor ratarata 3,41 berkatagori "sangat setuju". Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prosedur pembuatan angket online dengan Google Form sebagai instrumen kinerja siswa dan respon siswa dalam menggunakannya. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa jurusan IPA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pengembangan angket penilaian kinerja siswa pada proses pembelajaran menggunakan Google Form dimulai dari perencanaan, pembuatan, penerbitan dan pemberian petunjuk penggunaan. Data tanggapan siswa menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa suka menggunakan angket online (65%), mudah diakses (40%), waktu menjadi lebih hemat (40%), hemat kertas (50%), tahu cara menggunakannya (55%), tampilan mudah dimengerti (65%), Bahasa kuesioner sesuai (65%), menjawab lebih mudah menggunakan google form (50%), tertarik menjawab pertanyaan dengan google form (70%). Jadi, Google Form sangat berguna bagi guru dan siswa untuk mengumpulkan data kinerja siswa.
