Penggunaan parameter pemesinan yang tepat untuk memperbaiki kualitas secara umum diharapkan mengoptimalkan hasil proses pemesinan seperti penggunaan desain eksperimen Taguchi. Parameter yang dikendalikan yaitu kecepatan potong, kecepatan pemakanan, dan kedalaman pemotongan dengan masing-masing tiga level pada proses pembubutan internal material baja S45C. Eksperimen dilakukan menggunakan matriks eksperimen Taguchi L9(3 4). Hasil dari pembubutan tersebut kemudian diukur kebulatannya dan dilakukan analisis varians dan analisis signal to noise ratio sesuai dengan usulan rancangan Taguchi. Hasil yang didapatkan, faktor kecepatan potong dan kedalaman pemotongan teridentifikasi berpengaruh terhadap kebulatan hasil pembubutan internal. Hasil analisis varian terhadap rasio S/N dengan karakter kualitas semakin kecil semakin baik dan berdasarkan uji hipotesis, menghasilkan bahwa parameter kecepatan potong dan kedalaman pemotongan yang secara signifikan dengan tingkat kepercayaan 90% berpengaruh terhadap kebulatan. Kecepatan potong pada kondisi parameter 200 [m/min], kecepatan pemakanan 0,05 [mm/rev], dan kedalaman pemotongan 0,25 [mm] adalah parameter optimum yang didapatkan.
Dusun Bondan is a district located in a tidal area. Various problems arise in Dusun Bondan because of the use of water that doesn’t meet the quality of sanitation water causing several diseases. The water crisis experienced by the residents of Dusun Bondan becomes the worst disaster especially in summer because the water at Dusun Bondan is salty with high total dissolved solids. A water desalination system has been made to produce sanitation water that meets the standard based on Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. The methods used to overcome these problems are water source identification, design of desalination system, purchasing, fabrication and testing of desalinated water. The result of the activities is a desalination system which consists of pre-treatment using 4 filtration stages ended with reverse osmosis desalination using a special membrane. The result of desalinated water test shows that the water is odourless, tasteless, and other parameters meet the requirement of the standard.
Fish feeder machine is a machine designed to perform a feeding process that works automatically according to a predetermined feeding schedule, this machine can help improve efficiency both in terms of feed quantity and time in the feeding process. The purpose of designing and calculating machine elements in this Fish Feeder is to calculate parts of machine elements, determine the concept of machine design, draw machine drawing detail, and determine bill of material. The manufacture of this machine uses approach method of James H Earle and concept selection using the method of Stuart Pugh, drawing software using Solidworks 2015 and working drawing using ISO Standard. The design of the throwing machine that has been made is the result of a literature approach and field surveys (direct surveys at the Fisheries Service and at the Fish Seed Center where fish feed throwing machines are needed).
