Faktor non viral merupakan salah satu faktor risiko yang dapat meningkatkan angka kejadian timbulnya keganasan nasofaring Kata kunci: karsinoma nasofaring, faktor risiko, non viral AbstractBackground: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant epithelial nasopharyngeal tumor that until now the cause still unknown, Epstein barr virus infection had reported as predominant occurance of nasopharyngeal carcinoma but non viral factors may also contribute to the onset of the incidence of nasopharyngeal malignancy. Purpose: To find non viral factors that may increase the incidence of nasopharyngel carcinoma in order to prevent and avoid non-viral factors Literature: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant tumor that causes nasopharyngeal epithelium associated with viral and non-viral factors such as cigarette smoke, salt fish, formaldehyde, genetic, wood smoke ,wood dust, ear nose throat chronic infections, alcohol, and traditional medicine. Conclusion: Clinically and scientifically proving the non-viral factors as the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma can not be explained with certainty. Non-viral factors only as one risk factor that can increase the incidence of the onset of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Kata kunci: rinosinusitis kronik, pemeriksaan rinoskopi anterior, pemeriksaan nasoendoskopi Abstract Chronic rhinosinusitis is a common chronic inflammation of the nose and paranasal sinuses mucosa, but there is no data about profile of chronic rhinosinusitis patients at ENT clinic Dr.M.Djamil general hospital Padang. This research uses descriptive method by taking the data from the medical records at ENT clinic of Dr.M.Djamil general hospital during 1 January -31 December 2012 with the method is total sampling. There are 63 chronic rhinosinusitis cases at ENT clinic Dr.M.Djamil Padang general hospital during 1 January -31 December 2012. Most cases of chronic rhinosinusitis occurred in the age group 46 -55 years old (22.22%) and higher in female (60.32%). The most sign and symptom finding is septal deviation (41.27%). The most clinical symptom is nasal obstruction (88.89%). From anterior rhinoscopy and nasoendoscopy examination, there are founded abnormalility of nasal cavity, inferior turbinate, middle turbinate, and nasal discharge. The conclusion is chronic rhinosinusitis often happened at adult ages, female, septal deviation as the most sign and symptom finding, nasal obstruction as the clinical symptom, and abnormal findings from anterior rhinoscopy and nasal endoscopy examination.
AbstrakCapillary haemangioma is a benign, rapidly growing lesion of the skin and mucous membranes. It may rarely present as a mass of considerable size and thus entirely fill the nasal cavity. Its etiology remains obscure. Capillary haemangioma usually involves the gingiva, lips, tongue, and buccal mucosa. However, the nasal cavity is a rare location for this lesion. The most common symptoms are unilateral epistaxis and nasal obstruction. The treatment of choice is surgery to remove the tumour even for large lesion. A case of capillary haemangioma at anterior nasal septal in 6 years old girl had been treated with extirpation.
