This research aimed to investigate the effects of resistance exercise on symptoms, physical function, and quality of life (QoL) in gastrointestinal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Patients were quasi-randomly divided into the resistance exercise group and the relaxation control group, and machine-based resistance exercise was performed twice a week for 12 weeks under the guidance of experienced therapists. The QoL of patients was analyzed by EORTC-QLQ-C30. Resistance exercise training significantly reduced the incidences of lack of energy (inter-group P = .011), nausea (inter-group P = .007), acid reflux (inter-group P = .042), and back pain (inter-group P = .0009). Twelve weeks of resistance exercise training significantly elevated the muscular strength of leg press (inter-group P = .021) and leg extension (inter-group P = .041), and the muscular endurance of leg press (inter-group P = .005). The participants’ performance in 6-m fast walk (inter-group P = .008), 6-m backwards walk (inter-group P = .016), and chair rise (inter-group P = .031) were dramatically improved. Fatigue (inter-group P = .024) and appetite loss (inter-group P = .012) in the resistance exercise group were significantly lower than the relaxation control group. In conclusion, the beneficial effects of resistance exercise on symptoms, physical function and QoL in gastrointestinal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy were demonstrated. Resistance exercise training reduced the incidences of nausea and acid reflux, improved physical function, and alleviated fatigue and appetite loss in gastrointestinal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
In order to solve the problem of scanning magnetic resonance imaging in prenatal diagnosis, the application and research of placental implantation have been proposed. Placental implantation is a serious obstetric emergency, which refers to the abnormal attachment of placental villi caused by the dysplasia of decidual basal layer. A study from the United States showed that the incidence of placental implantation in pregnant women during delivery increased from 9.9/30000 to 11.6/20000 from 2006 to 2019, which increased the risk of prenatal or postpartum hemorrhage, hysterectomy, stillbirth, abdominal organ injury, and so on. Clinically, patients can show severe prenatal or postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum placental retention, uterine perforation, and secondary infection, which may seriously endanger the lives of pregnant mothers and fetuses. Placental implantation can also have no obvious symptoms before delivery, which leads to insufficient prenatal diagnosis. Gielchinsky retrospectively studied 410 patients with placental implantation and found that only 9 patients were detected by prenatal ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and the detection rate was only 6.6%. It can be seen that if the accurate diagnosis of placental implantation can be made before prenatal or symptoms appear, clinical intervention treatment can be carried out in time to reduce the probability of hysterectomy and improve the examination means of patients’ prerecovery. At present, studies at home and abroad suggest that it has good clinical application value and research prospect in the clinical diagnosis of placental implantation.
By employment the heterometallic strategy, a new highly porous metal-organic framework {(Me2NH2)[Mn3K2(TZIA)3(H2O)3]·(DMF)4}n (1) was prepared via corresponding K(I)and Mn(II) salts and hetero-donor organic ligand 5-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)isophthalic acid (H3TZIA) via solvothermal conditions in water and DMF mixed solvent. X-ray study of a single crystal shows that ionic K+ was immobilized on the surface of pores via trinuclear Mn2+–tetrazole coordination motif. The resulting activated 1a has been explored in detail by BET analysis to probe its porosity. The removal of water molecules in order to generate 1a makes it possible for K+ ions to be applied as an efficient and size-selective multiphase catalyst for cyanosilylation of acetaldehyde under the mild conditions without solvent. Furthermore, ELISA assay was performed to measure IL-18 and IL-1β level in hCMEC/D3 human brain microvascular endothelial cells after compound treatment. Besides, ROS detection and RT-PCR was performed to detect ROS production as well as the related gene expression. Next, the protective effect of the compound was evaluated in animal model in vivo.
Objective The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of telehealth education and care guidance via WeChat (Tencent Ltd., Shenzhen, China; a popular smartphone-based social media application) on improving the quality of life of parents of children with type-1 diabetes mellitus. Methods A prospective randomized controlled study was conducted in our hospital from March 2019 to September 2020 to compare the quality of life of parents of children with type-1 diabetes mellitus in the intervention group and the control group. Results Six months after discharge, the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores of parents in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group (p < 0.05). Compared with the SAS and SDS scores at discharge time, those scores of parents at 6 months after discharge time in intervention group were significantly lower (p < 0.05), while those scores of parents at 6 months after discharge time in control was similar (p > 0.05). Six months after discharge, the scores of the physiological field, psychological field, social relationship field, and environmental field in the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group according to the result of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Brief Scale (WHOQOL-BREF; p < 0.05). Conclusion Using WeChat to provide telehealth education and home care guidance to the parents of children with type-1 diabetes mellitus can effectively relieve the anxiety and depression of the parents and improve their quality of life.
