Cymbopogon nardus is a plant of the Poaceae family which is an herbal plant that is used by the community as room and clothing fragrances, relieves wound pain, improves digestion, beautifies the skin and bites the body of mosquitoes. Several previous studies have applied Citronella plants (Cymbopogon nardus) as mosquito repellents. Mosquitoes are very annoying insects because they cause pain and pain, they can also cause skin lesions due to mosquito bites and infections. Sensible mosquito repellent in the form of spray, burn or liquid where chemical compounds are harmful to human health, namely propoxur, tranflutrin, bioaleterin, dikiorvos, dalletherine, octachiorophil ether. The purpose of this study was to see the bioactivity of plants in Serai Wangi (Cymbopogon nardus). The method used is a computational study using various bioinformatics applications. From the research it was found that the plants in Serai Wangi (Cymbopogon nardus) were very effective as mosquito repellents.
The needs energy for fossil fuels continues to increase in people's lives and industry. Fossil energy that cannot be renewed and has an impact on environmental damage needs to be sought alternatives from renewable energy, one of which is hydrogen because it is more environmentally friendly and does not cause air pollution. Hydrogen production through water electrolysis is a processof equicurity of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gases using electric current. In this study aims to determine the optimum condition of hydrogen gas produced, which is influenced by electrolyte concentration, time and number of electrode plates with the method used that is electrolysis. Hydrogen gas concentrations are used by MQ-8 gas sensors and dry cell generators as gas production reactors. In this study, Cu/Al electrode plate was used because it has good electrical conductivity as electrode and NaNO3 is used as electrolyte. The current and voltage used in this electrolysis process remained at 0.6 ampere and 2 volts for 1 hour. The results of the measurement of optimum conditions using the RSM program obtained the optimum concentration of hydrogen gas at the number of plates 3/3 (Cu/Al) namely at the concentration of NaNO3 1 M and time 60 minutes with a hydrogen gas concentration of 75.8907 ppm and the result verification of 76 ppm, while on the number of plates 4/4 (Cu/Al) obtained hydrogen gas concentration of 129,841 ppm and verification of 130 ppm at NaNO3 concentration 1 M and time 60 minutes. Based on the data shows the prediction of optimum solution suggested by RSM program is good enough.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the education system in Indonesia, one of which is the implementation of learning from home policies. To assist the learning process, corrosion e-learning based on flex discovery learning has been developed for senior high school. This research is a research and development with 4D model. E-learning has been validated by three validators and tested for practicality by 10 students of SMA Negeri 2 Pasaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were analyzed by Aiken V and the percentage of students' understanding, using instruments in the form of validity and practicality questionnaires. the average value of V content and construct validity test results was 0.86 and 0.88 and for practicality the average value was 0.83. These data prove that the developed e-learning is valid and practical so that it can be used in the learning process.
AbstrakMusik memiliki makna dalam pelaksanaan ibadah Agama Hindu dikarenakan musik adalah simbol pemujian terhadap Sang Yhang Whidi (Tuhan Pencipta Alam semesta). Shri Mariamman adalah Kuil yang berlokasi di Kota Medan. Bhajan Muruga merupakan lagu (mantra) renungan guna memuja dewa-dewi mereka ketika melakukan ibadah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi dan makna musik pada pelaksanaan ibadah Agama Hindu di Kuil Shri Mariamman, Medan, Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian deskriptif yang bersifat kualitatif digunakan sebagai cara untuk menjelaskan hasil penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian ini menetapkan informan yang terlibat maupun yang tidak terlibat secara langsung. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa peran musik dalam ibadah umat agama Hindu sebagai sarana beribadah kepada Sang Yhang Whidi, Musik dijadikan sebagai bentuk pengiring nyanyian yang disebut dengan mantra sebagai doa-doa pemujaan. Makna yang terkandung di dalamnya adalah Nyanyian yang diiringi dengan musik menandakan pemujaan yang tulus, sungguh sungguh, penambah semangat, memuja, penyampaian doa dan rasa syukur umat Hindu kepada Sang Yhang Whidi. Kata kunci: Fungsi, makna, musik, ibadah, Shri Mariamman.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui latar belakang perempuan marombou di Desa Dolok Saribu serta mengetahui strategi perempuan parombou dalam resistensi kemiskinan di Desa Dolok Saribu. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori feminis postmodern. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, dan untuk memperoleh data serta informasi yang mendalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian lapangan, yaitu melalui observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi yang didukung dengan adanya catatan lapangan. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa latar belakang perempuan marombou di Desa Dolok Saribu ialah untuk mengatasi keadaan miskin yang dialaminya sehingga memperoleh hidup yang lebih baik nantinya serta membantu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, kebutuhan akan tenaga kerja di Desa Dolok Saribu kemudian menjadi jalan untuk perempuan dapat marombou. Adapun strategi perempuan parombou dalam resistensi kemiskinan dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu strategi kemiskinan untuk jangka panjang dan jangka pendek. Strategi untuk jangka panjang yaitu dengan cara memperbaiki pendidikan bagi generasi berikutnya sedangkan jangka pendeknya ialah dengan memilih mengerjakan tanaman yang memiliki harga jual tinggi seperti tanaman jahe yang upahnya didasarkan pada berat yang dipanen
