Breastfeeding to infants have a positive impact on their health. But not all women understand the importance of breastfeeding for babies. Various aspects affect, including the cultural factors that are still so dominant among the people of Aceh. This research was conducted with a phenomenological qualitative approach in Aceh Province to examine the cultural phenomenon of the decision to breastfeed. The results showed that the cultural aspect influenced the mother's decision to breastfeed babies exclusively. Understanding mothers and those around them and the lack of information and education from local health workers to educate from pregnancy to postpartum is the dominant factor for breastfeeding mothers not to breastfeed exclusively. Besides giving formula milk, other foods such as bananas and filtered porridge are given before entering the MPASI period, which should be at the age of 6 (six) months. Therefore, it is necessary to continue socialization and complete so that public knowledge increases according to the expectations of the government, which has strived and launched programs related to exclusive breastfeeding by paying attention to points that the community has not fully understood.Abstrak: Pemberian ASI pada bayi memberikan dampak positif bagi kesehatannya. Namun tidak semua wanita memahami pentingnya ASI bagi bayi. Berbagai aspek mempengaruhi, termasuk faktor budaya yang masih begitu dominan di kalangan masyarakat Aceh. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi di Provinsi Aceh untuk mengkaji fenomena budaya keputusan menyusui. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek budaya mempengaruhi keputusan ibu untuk menyusui bayi secara eksklusif. Pemahaman ibu dan orang di sekitarnya serta kurangnya informasi dan edukasi dari petugas kesehatan setempat untuk mengedukasi sejak hamil (antenatal) hingga nifas (pasca melahirkan) menjadi faktor dominan ibu menyusui untuk tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif. Selain pemberian susu formula, makanan lain seperti pisang dan bubur saring diberikan sebelum memasuki masa MPASI yang seharusnya pada usia 6 (enam) bulan. Oleh karena itu perlu terus dilakukan sosialisasi dan lengkap agar pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat sesuai harapan pemerintah yang telah mengupayakan dan mencanangkan program-program terkait ASI eksklusif dengan memperhatikan poin-poin yang belum sepenuhnya dipahami masyarakat.
This research examines how messages are managed through digital media by the Public Relations of the Aceh Province National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) regarding messages designed as an effort to prevent drug abuse, especially for the younger generation. The problem of drug abuse has not ended to this day. In Indonesia itself, it has also experienced an increase throughout 2021. The mass media also reports almost every time about the arrests of ordinary people, artists and public figures who are caught in drugs and the arrests of drug dealers in almost all parts of Indonesia, including Aceh. Even Aceh itself, based on the results of a national survey in 2019, is ranked sixth in the level of drug abuse. This is of course also contrary to the sharia image embedded in this province. Of course, various efforts have been made, starting from persuasive prevention to repressive handling, which have been carried out by many parties who have the authority to reduce the number of drug abuse to reduce the number of drug distribution in society, but its presence in society has not ended. One of the methods used in the current digital era to prevent the increase in the number of drug abusers is through the promotion and dissemination of information that educates about the harmful effects of drug use, especially for the younger generation, one of which is using social media which is currently popular and easy to reach targets. Using a qualitative approach, this study found that the messages broadcast on digital media were more about the activities carried out by the BNNP. Meanwhile, in-depth messages that are more suitable for the public who have limited information regarding drugs can be found in podcasts or in face-to-face counseling activities.
The need for the principle of media transparency in informing COVID-19 data is one of the ways to handle health problems, especially in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. A capacity building in handling the COVID-19 pandemic through the transparency of the COVID-19 data in the media can be useful for developing and disseminating health information to the public. This will also help increase the awareness of the people facing this COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, people will also be able to take preventive actions and be motivated to increase their alertness and increase their immunity. This paper is an analysis of the previous study findings that were done through a survey. The survey was on the knowledge of students at the university in obtaining information and the extent of knowledge they have on COVID-19. This paper aims to investigate the perception of the students on the COVID-19 information on the media, and to what extent were the students prepared for the pandemic. The findings of this study are that the majority of students in Aceh stated that the COVID-19 pandemic information on the media is already transparent and precise, even though there are still shortcomings in the information delivery by the media.
The persuasive communication strategy of Kementerian Agama RI Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang to convey information to prospective..pilgrims (CJH) is carried out in two formats, namely face-to-face and the use of conversation applications. In this study, the theoretical basis, concepts and models used were the AIDDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Decision, Action) model. This study uses qualitative research methods so that it can be seen the persuasive communication strategies carried out by hajj officers in Aceh Tamiang Regency. The number of prospective Hajj pilgrims in 2020 is 112 people. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the pilgrimage was canceled due to fears that the virus known as the corona virus would spread. The cancellation of the hajj gave rise to rumors that Indonesia was experiencing a budget crisis and the hajj money had been used to deal with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, out of 112 prospective pilgrims, one person was asked to withdraw their funds. To explain to prospective pilgrims, four meetings were held throughout 2020 and 2021 for prospective pilgrims, religious leaders and important figures in Aceh Tamiang. Thus, prospective hajj pilgrims and the public will receive accurate information about the cancellation of hajj and the mechanism for withdrawing hajj funds.
Penelitian ini berjudul “Mencari Identitas Bersama Studi Komunikasi Lintas Budaya Suku Pakpak dan Suku Singkil di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil” dengan masalah yang ingin dikaji yaitu Bagaimana pola komunikasi lintas budaya antara Suku Pakpak dan Suku Singkil di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor identitas bersama antara Suku Pakpak dan Suku Singkil dalam kontek komunikasi lintas budaya adalah faktor identitas marga, persamaan dalam konteks marga disisi lain etnis Singkil lebih menyembunyikan identitas marga sedangkan etnis Pakpak sendiri lebih menyebutkan marganya. Kemiripan dalam berbahasa interaksi yang digunakan oleh keduanya, akan tetapi yang membedakannya adalah dialek seperti dalam penyebutan huruf “r” didalam bahasa Singkil menjadi terdengar “gh” dalam bunyi “ghaif” dalam huruf hijaiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif atau penelitian kepustakaan. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah observasi, data-data primer dan sekunder. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah teori interaksi dan teori identitas sosial. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa dalam konteks komunikasi lintas budaya antara Suku Singkil dan Suku Pakpak pada dasarnya mempunyai kesamaan dalam interaksi akan tetapi yang membedakan adalah dialek, mempunyai persamaan marga yang digunakan, Suku Singkil lebih menyembunyikan marganya dengan alasan karena penggunaan marga yang digunakan untuk Suku Pakpak saja, karena mayoritas Suku Pakpak yang ada di Kecamatan Simpang Kanan dan Gunung Meriah adalah Nasrani itulah sebabnya suku singkil tidak mau dianggap dari bagaian mereka karena mayoritas Suku Singkil adalah muslim.
