ChemInform Abstract Electron bombardment flow experiments demonstrate that CH3-C=CH2+ from electron impact on Me3CF is formed via vicinal elimination of HF from CH3-+CF-CH3. Among the C3H6F+ isomers surveyed, ab initio calculations show that there is a stable minimum for each one that corresponds to a stable isoelectronic C3H6O isomer. A range of experimental results that yield C3H5+ ions is reported.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
