Das Restloch 77 (RL 77) in der Niederlausitz gehört zu einer Kette von Restseen, die der Grundwasservorflut dienen. Zur Abschätzung der Grundwasserzuflüsse in das RL 77 wurde in zwei Teilschritten ein hochauflösendes dreidimensionales Grundwasserströmungsmodell für den Bereich des Restloches erstellt. Ziel der Berechnungen war es, die hydraulische Komponente der Stoffbilanz dieses Sees zu erfassen. Aus den berechneten Zuflüssen konnte die Herkunft des Wassers nach Kippenbereichen (11,3 l s -1 ) und unverritztem Gebirge (3,1 l s -1 ) unterschieden werden. Es wurde ferner unterschieden, in welchen Tiefenbereichen die Zuflüsse in den zeitweise geschichteten See erfolgen. Dabei zeigte sich, daß 9,7 l s -1 in das Epilimnion und nur 4,7 l s -1 in das Hypolimnion des Sees einströmen. Sowohl der hohe Anteil von Wasser aus dem Kippenbereich als auch der bevorzugte Eintritt des Wassers in das sauerstoffgesättigte Epilimnion des Sees wirken sich ungünstig auf die Wasserqualität aus.
Abstract Groundwater with high acidity often leads to strongly acidic residual lakes in the vicinity of abandoned open pit lignite mines. Residual lake 77 (RL 77) in Lower Lusatia (Germany) belongs to a sequence of residual lakes accomplishing groundwater drainage. A two-part high resolution three-dimensional groundwater model was set-up forthe estimation of groundwater discharge into RL 77. The objective of the simulations was to quantify the hydraulic component of the mass balance of the lake. The calculated total discharge could be distinguished with respect to water entering from the dump areas (11.3 l s -1 ) and from the undisturbed sediments (3.1 l s -1 ). The discharge was further distinguished with respect to the vertical entrance location into the temporarily stratified lake. It showed that groundwater discharged into the epilimnion of the lake at a rate of 9.7 l s -1 and into the hypolimnion at a rate of 4.7 l s -1 . Both the large fraction of water from the dump areas and the preferential entrance into the oxygen rich epilimnion of the lake have an adverse effect on lake water quality.

Haemodynamic functions, myocardial contractility, and coronary blood flow were measured in five young women with systemic lupus erythematosus. There had been no signs of cardiac involvement. Left and right heart catherterisation excluded abnormal pressure gradients and valvar regurgitation. But left ventricular end-diastolic pressures were considerably raised while cardiac output, stroke volume, ejection fraction, and left ventricular compliance were decreased. Isovolumic indices of myocardial contractility were altered, corresponding to a decreased contractile state of the myocardium. Coronary blood flow was moderately increased at rest, but pharmacologically induced coronary vascular reserve was markedly reduced. It is concluded that in young women with this disease there may be, in the absence of clinical signs of cardiac involvement, haemodynamic abnormalities which must be ascribed to the consequences of a lupus cardiomyopathy.
